The proposed trade between Adelaide, GWS, Lions, Fremantle and Hawthorn is off the cards.

Just are luck.

It's not over until the fat lady sings.

The AFL has knocked back this particular deal, not necessary a future one somewhat similar.

They want the trades to look bona fide and more equal with GWS giving up a bit more.

It'll still be done IMO with some tweaking of the details, with GWS perhaps giving up more or better draft picks.

Of course it is.

As soon as the AFC is involved we get screwed each and every time.

Well they've said that this deal (whatever that one actually is...) is no go, but haven't ruled out similar deals.

GWS probably have to give a bit more up, which is only bad news for them, not us.

Maybe we might just snare 2 mini draft picks and take Crouch plus one of Kennedy/Toumpas....

I wouldn't be throwing the toys out of the pram just yet. There is still plenty of time to get this done.

What is cr@p is that these multi deals going through hold up almost all other trading, and there is an incentive for maybe one club (eg GWS) to hold off as they don't have other deals to do.

That's why nothing happens until the final minute of the final day.........

A couple of the smaller trades going around should happen tomorrow, just to get the wheels moving a little; the AFL gets antsy when things look gridlocked, because the AFLPA starts at them, and there's enough trouble there already right now.

The problem is that this year, the small trades seem to be in the minority - majority of the trades we know about are for high value players, with high stakes, which means a lot of protection of existing medium and low value assets just in case they're needed to make one of them work. No room to move.

Exactly can't really see alot happening until the Gunston and Clark trades are done as sweetners or multi trades may need to be chucked in.

jon ralph can't help him self. He's suggesting that Tippett could have been involved in the failed super trade.

Was Star Trek made as just a meme database? Please help, I've never watched it and all I know, is it's designed for meme's.

Rucci also running with Tippett involved in the super trade. back page of Advertiser today.

This article appears to have up to four authors...
Rucci, Mark Stevens, Jay Clark, and Ralph.
Is that so we can't pin the blame to anyone inparticular?

Geez we should have thread for the journos to read about rumour so they can publish it in their papers.

The latest is we are putting together a package of Tippett + Walker + Dangerfield for Barry Hall + Cam Mooney + Chad Cornes and we get his brother Kane oh and draft pick 55 as a set of steak knives.

Ralph and Rucci generally write the same crap as they are HeraldSun/Advertiser writers so they re-hash the stories.

I would be much more inclined to believe Emma Quayle who has good sources around the AFL.

Even in the Rucci article he says Tippett is part of the deal but then later on in the articles quotes Noble that Tippett is not going to be traded

I have a funny feeling Tippett will end up a Lion in 2012....

There is too many rumblings....

Also the 5 club deal will happen, it just needs some tinkering....
