No thanks, reeks of one of those players that looks good in a good team but put him elsewhere and he isn't great. And if he was that great why are the Pies looking to offload?

He's offloading himself I reckon. Well his manager has been shopping him about.

They aren't looking to offload him, they're just refusing to pay him $350k a year; which is fair enough I think.

His manager seems to be a tad crazy.

Sounds like Ellis is about to re-sign with the Hawks (according to Trade Week Radio).

Huge sigh of relief for many nervous non-Hawthorn fans. :p

I said they're ahead of you. You claimed that you didn't have faith in Rendells ability to partake in trading and that they should get someone else in to do this, when in fact they had already set up a team to such.

Sorry mate, I'm not trying to have a crack, I just don't see what the faith is based upon.
Is the Noble role different to the past then? Did Rendell do it all before this year?

I think he's better than Jordan Russell. Alot better defensively, doesn't offer much the other way but can use it well when necessary. He's in the upper half of the medium defenders in the league IMO. One on one he rarely looses a contest he's got longish arms and always gets a spoil in. I rate him alot actually, would certainly add some stability/experience to our backline. Still 24, I'd take him. He copped alot of shit early in his career as he couldn't kick... he's improved a shitload since then, he's mr reliable now.

Check out the papers - they're trying to do a scam with Freo and Hawthorn where the pick gets traded around and ends with GWS.

The idea is a band two is worth more than pick 4, I guess. Pick six or seven next year is better than a pick four when they've already taken a dozen players from this years pool, and where they've got a butt load of picks already.
According to Emma Quayle Hawthorn could land a 1st round pick from GWS for this deal. Fremantle could get prelisted players and pick 11.
She's still investigating that potential trade/deal.
If that happens hopefully Hawthorn could pass that pick onto us for Gunston.

About to neck myself listening too these same ads on repeat though.
I just about know those ads off by heart and its midway through day 2 of the trade week

I guess its all going to be quiet on the front until Thursday afternoon when the bidding ends and we can expect a lot more activity from Friday through to Monday.

Good to see them shove the Gunston issue to the side so they could concentrate on Collingwood superstar John McCarthy.

Piss poor discussion re Gunston.

Lasted 30 seconds max and then off to to lengthy discussions on average players like McCarthy.

Interview just gone back to Gunston.

Manager repeats thinks deal will be done with Hawthorn - sooner than later.

Jack went home because home sick - from a close-knit family.

Whole interview as useful a **** on a bull.

He certainly seemed keen to let us know what has been going on.

Terrible from Cam Mooney and the other guy.

'So you think a deal will be done?'
'Yeh.'
'Ok cool, now what about John McCarthy...'

Definately nowhere near as strong in his stance over what will happen as Nobes was. This deal has us holding it by the balls. You could tell by the sound of his voice he's got not a whole lot of control in matters.

The only possible good news:

Gunston 'couldn't speak highly enough' about the Crows. Makes it less likely for him to screw us over.

Of course it's probably all trade week bullshit.
