We also need to consider
North were keen on Gunna however they have now moved to Gram so maybe the alternatives also went cold
On the surface yes we would all like a little more however I will reserve my trade judgement until more information becomes available and until we can assess what Adelaide does with those picks

Absolutely not
People have been somewhat clouded by people posting the megatrade in 1 easy to read gain-loss list rather than seperate pieces coming together to form the big picture.
I'd be surprised if this trade isn't just a 'piece of the jigsaw puzzle' as they have put it.
Expect JOM to go to Freo at some stage today. He will then come to us for Pick 24 and whatever else it will take (probably pick 10).
We will then send him back to GWS for Pick 2 (Crouch/Kennedy) and probably one of their first rounders.
End result is we trade Gunston and a first round downgrade and get Crouch and the third and fourth round upgrades.
Huge, Huge win.
All the experts have us getting Crouch. Unless we seriously are going to trade 24 and Davis for it, the only explanation is that this is just part of the bigger picture.

This.
It's like saying 'oh no, we gave away Sean Wellman for pick 45' when it was part of the jigsaw that brought the great D Jarman home (and the 97 and 98 premierships).

But the league ruled GWS could not retain a player the regulations dictated it must trade away.
