I was looking for him in the rehab group. Took me a while to spot him. He certainly wasn't holding back.

I think people have to get their heads around cunners might take twelve months to get going again.![]()
Purple Patch: Adams 'impressed' with forward line form
With the addition of Harry Sheezel and the on-going growth of tall forwards Callum Coleman-Jones and Charlie Comben, an elevated Kangaroos attack is expected in 2023 as the jostling for an opening round spot ramps upwww.nmfc.com.au
I think with Cunners, Jy and Greenwood back I hope we leave Zurhaar forward for more of the game. I'd like to see us have a good spread of goal scorers but for guys like Cam, I want him to more consistently get on the scoreboard, look for more easier opportunities to score and for the club to be drilled to look for guys clear in the forward 30 as the number one priority rather than having low probability shots on goal.

He’ll still be a monster match up but building fitness/strength takes time.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 50/50 split with Zurhaar to keep them both on the ground for extended periods. As they’d be a nightmare matchup forward, after having impact spells on the ball.
Bottom 3 will defo be best 22 and should play a lot of games.Hi all, not sure where to post this - mods feel free to move if there's a more appropriate place.
After your thoughts on the following, please. Are they best 22? Likely to feature prominently?
Taylor
Shiels
Phillips
Powell
Thanks!
Taylor (wing), phillps (on ball) and powell (wing and on ball) are best 22 for mineHi all, not sure where to post this - mods feel free to move if there's a more appropriate place.

I think many of us were expecting Taylor to be best 22 this year, but that hasn't really borne out in the match sims.Hi all, not sure where to post this - mods feel free to move if there's a more appropriate place.

I just hope we are competitive. On paper, I feel that the dogs have on of the best lists going around. Footscray fans would be pissed if they let another year slip away to underperforming.Yep, I know its just a preseason game, but I think this week's game will reveal a fair bit about where we are at.
Last time we played them, it was a very Bad Friday indeed, our second 10+ goal drubbing for the season if I recall correctly.
We got slaughtered on the turnovers, our ability to exert any forward pressure was nonexistent.
(And of course, the year before, we lost by 128 points, so haven't had the best record against the Doggies in recent years I think its fair to say)
But obviously our football department was been lobotomised since then.
And Atu, Walker and JHF are gone, replaced with Logue, Sheezel and Shiels.
Cunnington, Phillips and Comben have made their returns.
Goater and Curtis have emerged as tantalising young talents.
Footscray have lost Dunkley and Hunter, but gained Lobb and Jones.
I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself in hoping for a cracking contest.
It would be stupid not utilising one of the few young, hungry and reliable players you have on your list that can run 14 km each match (Taylor).Taylor (wing), phillps (on ball) and powell (wing and on ball) are best 22 for mine
Isn’t it funny a few years ago when they won the premiership they basically had no tall depth on their list, that’s why they offered T.Boyd the mother of all loads.I just hope we are competitive. On paper, I feel that the dogs have on of the best lists going around. Footscray fans would be pissed if they let another year slip away to underperforming.
Their talls depth is scary. It’s like the inverse of our list. If we get within 30, that will be a win.
He has generally taken a few good months to return to full match fitness after injury. Don’t be expecting 30+ possies this year a game.I think people have to get their heads around cunners might take twelve months to get going again.

That was Aaron Black.
Shiels was surplus to requirements at Hawks and is here as part of the Clarko regime change
He has been a solid player who plays the % and makes few mistakes
Anyone around here remember Dumont
So we are going backwards big time if this bloke gets more than the odd game
We need to paint a mural of Garner for the rehab group.
