Is Rodgers getting a decent budget this time around? Surely he'd be trying to strengthen your attacking threat.I hooope so... should''ve bought him instead of Markovic anyway, sigh

Think Lallana was a good purchase. The others were rubbish.I wouldn't trust Rodgers with my lunch money, let alone millions
No idea if FSG thinks the same way
His big money signings have been like, Borini, Allen, Lallana, Lovren. He loves buying midtable players for loads of money
The thing is when you bring in players from midtable English clubs you magically become midtable
They are spending 100m on Anfield after spending more than that on transfers. Will be interesting to see how much fsg give RodgersIs Rodgers getting a decent budget this time around? Surely he'd be trying to strengthen your attacking threat.
25 mil is steep but he is English. The money was certainly wasted elsewhere.Lallana's pretty good but not worth 25 million, plus for 25 mil you'd hope he'd be starting more but Rodgers seem to use him quite sparingly. Been good most times he's played
U still havent answered my question faith?no similarly to lvg they dont know how to use it

I think it actually offsets FFP spend which is a positive as you can spend more. It was an interest free loan from fsg so that helps too. I guess we'll be able to see what fsg think of Rodgers by how much they give him.Stadium building/redevelopment expenses don't count in FFP, right? Would be disappointing if that becomes the reason why FSG gives no transfer kitty
Many other valid reasons not to give though

If you check out Weaintgotnohistory theres his quotes from an interview he did (its in Czech) during the international break.

Pretty sure the rules we been relaxed in terms of getting a medal too.
Both the Mirror & Telegraph are saying that LVG has been given £150m to spend over the next 2 windows. It would be closer to 110m if United exercise their option on Falcao. Should be enough to get another DM, a full back and a centre half. If we don't sign a Falcao then that frees up 42m for a striker. Mark Ogden from the Telegraph is well connected at OT, he broke the SAF retirement story 1st. Woodward is a bit of an egomaniac and he wants to setup a Real Madrid style Gaalacticos. I'm fine with this as long as United continue to promote from the youth academy.
The scary thing with Rodgers is apparently if he had his way he would've brought Vorm and Williams in, maybe the committee isn't such a bad thing
Rumours are that its a done deal and that the 'loan' is just a way around ffp. If he gets 100% fit and has a good 2nd half of the year, they'll sign him. Yes, I've heard he has a clause in the loan agreement that if he does his knee again, then he stays with Monaco. It was a risk worth taking imo. World class strikers are hard to get.United having all this money a
What's the deal on Falcao? My United fan mate reckons it will be a permanent deal unless Falcao injures his knee again. I'd imagine Woodward will be wanting to get out of any permanent deal for Falcao, you've pretty much paid 8m to get him fit again.
Never a fan of managers signing favourites from old clubs. Allen has been good without being fantastic but in general it doesn't work.
Charlie Adam is a good example of that. Too good for Blackpool, not good enough for Liverpool.Well Rafa bought Mista from Tenerife with him to Valencia and he scored 19 goals and won the league, so it could work
Mourinho did it with his Porto crew and with Carvalho for loads of clubs and that worked really well as well
So it all depends on the player, if the players are good enough they'd make it.
I guess the problem is buying from midtable English clubs is that you're hoping their level would elevate at a better club, but often that's not the case, coz if they had that extra gear in them, their old club wouldn't have been midtable in the first place
Fair enough. Torres also said he wasn't moving anywhere at the start of January in 2011. I just can't imagine that a goalkeeper of Cech's quality would be happy sitting on the bench playing as a reserve keeper at this stage of his career. I also can't imagine Abramovich would be too happy with him sitting there earning big wages and doing nothing. All I can hope is that FSG does everything possible (within reason) in its power to sign him because a goalkeeper of his experience and quality not being utilised is a very rare commodity. If it doesn't happen I'm sure we'll have other targets in mind.
