With Rose 100% leaving Tottenham, I beg the question, are Spurs the new Southampton? Will they now become a feeder club for the big boys in PL? Walker and Rose this window. Reckon Pool will pinch Alli next window. The wheels are falling off earlier than expected!
We can only hope. Would take Alli.

Comfortably the best RB in the league last two seasons. I seriously LOL when I see people trying to say that Valencia was better. But Rose is a much better player than Walker imo.

I actually don't mind Trippier though. He's not as pacy and powerful as Walker, but he offers us something different. He's more technical, comfortable on the ball and his delivery is superb. Doesn't have the same capacity as Walker though to deal with the tricky wingers. He's done reasonably well on Hazard before, but Martial tore him to shreds at WHL last season.

i know it's only stats, but statistically last season they were very similar (walker and rose), and apparently rose was dribbled past twice more than walker (1.2 to 0.5) times per game.

i didnt see every spurs game last season, but maybe they're a bit closer than first thought.

I think Salah might prove better value. Cheaper than Laca and coming from a tougher league than the weaker Ligue 1.
Ligue 1 market is ******* stupid at the moment because of Monaco and PSG. I think Arsenal have done ok there considering Lacazette is in his prime and has had a number of good seasons establishing himself as probably the best player outside of Monaco/PSG in that league. He's a finished product pretty much.

Serie A is largely the same as always, though AC Milan are bankrolled now. Roma have been lowballing Leicester on Mahrez for weeks, when they'll have to basically pay the whole Salah money received to Leicester to land him.

there are sfa decent full backs in the league. Tony V was the 2nd best RB last season as Bellerin had a down year. Don't think the gap between Walker and Valencia is that great. Both have ridiculous pace and both aren't great in the final third but are solid defensively. Bellerin in top form is the best RB in the country imo.

Meh

Sure you'd be annoyed about them regularly targeting your best, but surely you'd be wary that clubs like them and Bayern are far superior onfield, so beating them would be unlikely?

We felt a lot of angst towards Real Madrid after they sold Ozil to you once we sold Bale. I always knew Bale was going late and Levy spent before he bought. The Modric deal was a disgrace though with the way he acted on his agents orders, didn't bother rocking up to preseason IIRC. But at the end of the day, they're the biggest club in the world, so not much you can do once they come knocking.
I dont care about them beating us, it's the fact that a far superior team still feels the need to act like absolute campaigners when they play is the thing that makes me hate them. Diving, faking injury, harrassing the ref, gamesmenship etc. No class whatsoever on the pitch.

No wonder they were salty over losing Neymar. Hard to replace diving specialists.

So no Gylfi, VVD, Coutinho, Alexis, Rose available this week for one reason or another.
This is why I really think the window should shut before the season starts. They've had months to figure this out, it shouldn't be a distraction in the opening weeks of a new season.

Agree with that.

I'm still waiting for the WealstoneRaider Coutinho bet.

Our bet was he had to have klopp pic for his avatar for 1wk.
