If he is that good, why have Barca and Real not swooped?

Also we've officially signed our first player for the summer.

17 year old Sepp Van den Berg from PEC Zwolle.
Besides what Magma pointed out about other more established signings, RM did bid for him. Their initial offer was too low for Benfica (was reportedly €80m), and when they came back for him Felix had already been convinced by Jorge Mendes to join AM

I'd be surprised if you knew who either was.
It’d be interesting what would have been said had Liverpool bought them.

No doubt Jodly would say Klopp will turn them into stars.

I like it from United. Buy youf and try and make them better. Wan Bissaka could be a steal for someone who has a decade of football ahead of him

I do hope we sign some experience and not just concentrate on Brittish youth but it's certainly a refreshing change. And I've not read too many pundits and the like shitting on it.

To be fair you've tried signing galatico's and it's failed pretty badly. So maybe this will work...

I've seen Longstaff play. He looks ok I guess. I didnt see him play and think geez, he should be playing for one of the worlds biggest clubs haha.

Yes, agreed on all fronts. Hard to gauge what is really happening at the club. Missing out on top 4, when it was there for the taking is going to have large consequences. Getting dismantled in the EL final didn’t help either.

With the budget restrictions, and stagnant direction of the club, this is going to take 2-3 windows to fill the gaps in the squad.

Ramsey, Wilshere, Welbeck all recently walking on frees (for various reasons) has been poorly managed. British players, with home grown status, should have been able to raise funds if we’d sold them proactively.

Now we somehow need to find a CM replacement whilst also bolstering full backs, a new CB and a winger.

Mustafi, Xhaka and Ozil should be moved on.

Emery botched the last few weeks of the season, but he’s been given very little to work with here.
Listened to the BBC podcast with some guy whose name I didn't catch and his guest was Ornstein. Didn't put a monetary value on the budget but did suggest that the EL final has convinced Emery that Mustafi needs to go. He really is too error prone for a club aspiring to re-enter Europe's top table.

As for other clubs, he states AWB to United in nearly done; that Liverpool have no interest in Pepe or De Ligt, will only make 1-2 small signings, won't get anyone of much repute to back up the front 3; That N'Dombele talks are advanced and it won't be Spurs last signing, they have more work to do in the market.

With a deal for James done, a deal for Wan Bissaka all but done, and apparently news that they're moving onto Longstaff next, and with the very decent young talent at the club already, I think I'd actually be pretty excited if I was a United fan. It looks like there is a clear strategy in place now, and one that's similar to the strategy that made you a force under Fergie. It may mean a few years without challenging at the very top end, but it's far more sustainable than the sort of scattergun, Galacticos-lite approach that's defined the years since Fergie left.

Thought you might have learned your lesson from Robertson. Seems not.
Longstaff I presume they think can be the next Michael Carrick.

Not top 6 quality right now but could he be? Perhaps, remember Declan Rice dominating him when we played and think that was his last game of the season.

I usually look for positives out of every situation. So if took a hammering in the EL final to finally move Mustafi on, then that’s something somewhat positive to emerge from the result.

This is a funny rumour doing the rounds.

Aubameyang to United
Funds Arsenals deal for Zaha (United refused to give up the 25% sell on clause because they believed Palace are on the verge of a big sale)
Auba in means Lukaku can leave.

Arsenal struggling to make any purchases due to being super poor right now.

I think Arsenal are in real danger of losing their status if this transfer budget is to be believed. They are definitely a lot less fashionable than they were 10 years ago. It’s up to us to take advantage of this and really stake the claim as being the prominent club in north London.

Didn't he say something very similar about 3 days before Lyon announced they'd sold Mendy to Madrid?

He's an interesting character. Seems he loves the game around transfers as much as anything else.
