Silvestre was oh so close to joining Liverpool under GH but opted for Utd instead, he would have been more than useful for us over the years.

Hamburg have said on their website that City have signed Vincent Kompany. Really happy if that is the case, but a bit surprised as I wouldn't have thought another defender was a huge priority.

Maybe brought in to play in the midfield.

Should put a few finance stories to rest if it does come off, although I wonder if Corluka to Spurs might be back on the agenda.

This is more than likely our last signing when we desperately need a DM.

And Wenger is probably trying to turn Toure back into a DM which I'm not comfortable with. And I'm less comfortable with Silvestre being a starting CB. Not to mention he is also very injury prone.

If Silvestre is just a backup and we buy a DM then nobody should be complaining. But I doubt that.

The Shev back to Milan is rumoured to be done today.. I'm a big fan of his and he was good last season when given game time... If this does happen i can see him scoring with regularity again not as he did a few years ago but still at a decent level.

I know, hes said this like 3 times now.. but Rennes wont let him leave and he won't hand in a transfer request.. Even though they just picked up 2 players of similar position.
