I couldn't be arsed typing in my own selections as I know the chances are slim they will make the count, so while I would probably feature Let It Happen by Tame Impala in my top 10, I didn't include it because it wasn't an option. As for whether these are my 'favourite' songs of all time, I don't know, I picked the bands that were clearly my favourites and tried to find one song for each as a starting point, then went through the mock 100 posted above and picked songs that really stood out for me.

You might be surprised how many of the JJJ presenters and artists have voted for it. It's also getting a LOT of hype in the comments on all social media posts.

I don't know how or why it's suddenly become popular again. Honestly, it feels like a meme at this point. Then again, the popularity of another meme song (The Horses) would tell us that irony is apparently dead.

For some reason the Veronicas have become a semi-ironic favourite amongst a lot of people over the past 5 or so years. They pop up constantly at festivals where they really don't belong. I have mates who are into heavier stuff who get around them. It's perplexing.

its a guilty pleasure song for alot of people, I know the first I heard it was FIFA 08? and I thought it was catchy as, but still didnt really get around it, however it has definitely surged in popularity the past 5-6 years and I have to admit, I kinda like it now haha.

You absolutely can tell who triple j are giving the push to by their promos and presenter votes. Veronicas and Jessica Mauboy getting a big push, Powderfinger regularly popping up in the promos, Nosebleed Section, Gotye etc.

It’s not a problem…what I’m suggesting is that I would be surprised if Kylie/Veronica's dominated the top 20 based on historical voting pattern reasons.

Amy Shark was #2 one year and a few years later didn’t make the top 50 of the decade. Lorde had one of the best songs of that era and didn’t make the top10 of the decade chart.

I'd expect one Amity and maybe one Parkway track in, but my pick for committed fanbases pushing an artist in is G-Flip this time.
