Mrs Bomber is turning 40 in a couple of months so my plan was to get her some tickets to see various bands, singers, plays etc that she likes.

Saw that Sarah Blasko was playing in Adelaide so put them on the list of tickets to buy.

When I told Mrs Bomber that her gifts started this week with Sarah Blasko in the Parklands, she looked at me blankly and said, "what on earth makes you think i want to see her?" Me, nonplussed, responds with "what do you mean, she's one of your favourites, isn't she?"

Turns out, no, she isn't.

I'd merged Sarah Blasko into what I term the 'moaning chicks' genre that Mrs B is so fond of and just assumed she would like her.

To top it all off, this convo happened on International Women's Day.

It was not a good day for me.

Yes it’s not a Pell or Rolf Harris situation, because they are conveniently alive. At this point the media frenzy is probably hindering rather than helping reasonable posthumous investigation into MJ’s behaviour. Not every journo or historian is a witness leading dollar chasing shill.

It turns out that US law does not protect the deceased from defamation. The "convenience" is that MJ is dead and can't defend himself, otherwise HBO would be sued out of existence. Any credible journalist would provide a fair and balanced view of the facts of the case. That's not what we have here. This documentary focuses almost exclusively on the accusers, telling their story. That's HBO's prerogative. The outcome though is that it gives the audience only one side of the story and biases them of MJ's guilt. Trial by media.
