People who complain about cyclones, typhoons and hurricanes are basically complaining about the fact that they’ve chosen to live in the Earth’s cloud generation zone.

It’s like an Eskimo in an igloo complaining that it’s ****ing cold.

Could you elaborate? I get the feeling you’re saying people who live in the tropics shouldn’t complain about Cyclones?

People don’t choose where they are born, bruh.

And most of those from the Caribbean and the poor in the South are there because of slavery, guess their ancestors shouldn’t have been caught.

Lol no, as in, he was spotted in public minding his own and a picture of him was sent in.

They don't choose where they are born, but they can take steps to ensure that it's not an issue by preparing for what will be a certain eventuality. It's like living in the desert and saying '**** it's hot.' It's why people in Coober Pedy live underground.

It's the arrogance of man to think that the environment should bend to his will instead of adapting to it. Complaining isn't going to make them disappear - if there weren't any cyclones/hurricanes there wouldn't be any rain and we'd all die.

Now...if you're asking 'Should developed nations give money to poorer nations (like the Bahamas) to ensure that their housing and critical infrastructure can withstand 310 km/h winds?' like is required for buildings in the Australian tropics and Florida, then that's a different story.

In what way don’t they prepare for it, and in what way are they not entitled to complain?

If they caused it, or were being hypocritical about other people complaining then sure, but people are absolutely entitled to bitch about shit things that are out of their control.

Particularly when these problems have been accelerated by the actions of the “global North”/first world.

You are right that we won’t have anything without the rain and wind, but this is being caused by the greed of other nations. Those living in hurricane country just drew the short straw.

It's hot in a lot of places in Australia. Coober Pedy is the only one to my knowledge where people live underground. Why is that?

Why complain about things out of your control? What’s the point? No one can do anything about it.

They are probably saying “I don’t deserve this” or “Why is this happening to me?”...as if they are somehow cursed. There is no karmic balancing of scales required for something to happen - it just does. What we can control is how we deal with these things when they happen.

Sorry, but I’m more inclined to complain about the tragic injustices that humans inflict on each other than natural weather phenomena that is just part of nature.
