do people think having two days off less is going to be a concern? that seems to be the sticking point for people picking the matches
possibly.

but we played geelong on a break with 3 days less and we were competitive against them.

then again we got roflpwnt in the last quarter...

The issue over the 2 days less rest will probably factor in. We held tight with geelong for a while, but ran out of steam, partly because we have so many youngsters and also because of the high intensity workload that players have to take on in terms of their defensive and offensive efforts - which I think probably has a lot to do with the "death of the pure tagger" as was mentioned earlier in the thread. Just need to make sure we have broken their spirit by 3 quarter time. Perhaps a reason why Danger, Cook, Walker & Trenko all has <60% TOG last week, rest them up for a full, hard game against Port.

To be fair though, Geelong blitzed us at various stages during the 1st and 2nd quarters too, when fitness should not have been a concern.

The extra break is not the be all and end all anyway. Essendon mowed down Collingwood in the final few minutes despite having two days less rest.

Yeah sure, but that's beside the point. The issue is whether we can perform for 4 quarters with less of a break than our opponents and I think that's a genuine area of concern for us tonight going by the fact we just ran out of steam and looked physically lat in the last quarter.
