Can you back all this talk up?

Charles - As posted several times previously on this forum ‘Ready to Bang’ is an U19 player from a Premier division club located near the beach. Many of us know who he is but will resit the urge to out him just yet. Last season he used the forum claiming to be to Peter Richter from Beauy. Most realised he was just a serial pest but a few took the bait. Looks like he is now turning his attention to De La Salle. He is not Pete Richter from Beaumaris nor is he Humpa from De La Salle. He is just looking for a bite. Hopefully if we ignore him he will go away.

Now for some more sensible talk....

What are everyones thoughts on Xavier being a genuine contender??

Yet to put their best team on the park, but come finals time if they can put it together are surely going to make an impact. Ahead vs De La for 3 and a half quarters of the match..... With players sill to come back in..

Players playing senior football instead of 19s will also have an impact i think. Shaw, goss, the likes etc.....

Also...... Uni Blues or Beauy to round off that top 4 spot... Who will it be?

Shaw is almost 22.... Goss made his comeback to under 19's on the weekend and kicked 10 against Blacks.... doubt any of the unders playing seniors would be coming back down as the ones left up in the seniors havent played a single game in under 19 grade this year

I think Blues will fill the final spot in the 4 especially once all the country kids come back to play after going home for the holidays

Think he means shaw from blues who has played some ones. Goss only played two senior games with minimal impact what a dominant display last week though. De la wont see any of the 4 eligable senior players playing ones. beau may get a few back. I think beau will be 4th and Scotch will knock of de la when they play them

Then that Shaw is already back playing u19's.... was some display indeed.... and that mark he took which the umpire didnt pay....

I cant see scotch coming anywhere near de la especially when they will have players called up to play seniors to save them from getting relegated

Very unlucky not to have that mark paid.

Uni Blues will really struggle to make it from here. 6 games left and they have DLS, Xavs and Scotch in the run home. DLS just going at the moment and Scotch a big chance to knock them off in a few weeks.

I think Scotch arent as good as everyone thinks they are......

Dont all go off at me at once, i just think their depth isnt that great, their stand out players, dont get me wrong, Davis, Van Den Broek, Sansom are good players, i just think they fall away pretty drastically.

A little harsh, from what he told me he did fine with restricted match time... Which is obviously going to be the case with Xavs having been the bench mark of the Ammos for years in A grade.

dear dear, how sad indeed. Thanks Rooster, I'll just ignore the pug next time he posts.

I won't out him but RTB is actually a pretty good bloke and is also a decent footballer. It’s just that his sense of humour (or lack thereof) is lost on most of us. We are all pretty much over this crap he has been posting for a few years now.

in regards to beauy vs blues, i heard beauy were missing their captain and 2 top players went up to seniors for a game, also their 2nd leading goal kicker was missing

what was the excuse against de la...... maybe not good enough or possibly being the biggest bunch of fairys?
beauy r kidding themselves if they think that there going to challange in september with whoever they have out, whoever puts a beauy jumper on is just a flat track bully

By far the most sensible thing you ever written Mixed drinks...

what are u talking about, why would it be an excuse if beauy won convincingly, i just made the point because someone said something about them missing players....

Tips for this week:

Old Scotch v Marcellin

Old Melburnians v Beaumaris

Uni Blues v Uni Blacks

Old Xaverians v Old Camberwell

De La Salle v St Bedes/Mentone Tigers

I see the Scotch juggernaut keeps rolling on. 11th win on the trot and 52 scoring shots. Seems depth is no issue as they are bringing in some new talent each week. Must be odds on to roll De La in a couple of weeks and perhaps assume flag favouritism.

Its gonna be a hard 5 weeks for Scotch with them having to play the other top 6 sides.... and de la will have to much on them

Helps when Scotches school kids are playing during the holidays!!

Scotch only had 16 U/19's available. How's beauy looking? and will anyone beat de la at all this season? Best players from each team as well..?

If they only had 16 under 19s available it was a fair effort to kick 30 goals and win by 180 points! To answer your questions - Beauy on their day are very good but perhaps a little bit behind the top 3. Xavs and Scotch both very capable of beating De La. Best players from each of these sides is very subjective and you could make solid arguments for a number of players but for mine De La - Humphrey & Clinch. Scotch - Davis & Van De Broek. Xavs - Bissett & Woods (but big wraps on Goss)

Are the Final four teams settled? It would look like that is the case!

I agree Scotch must be flying, from what i have seen they look capable of an upset come finals time. Having said that De La may very well have another gear or two for the finals.

Dont count out Xavs, they have some fantastic players to come back! One would assume Gross will come back from the snrs having performed well up there, amoungst others to sharpen them up. Add Ambrose hitting form and you have a front end with some big weapons.

Big Van De Broek Looks like the kind of player who could rip the finals apart. He is a seriously good footballer! He spells danger to the other teams.

De La, clearly the ones to beat. The strength for them is great depth! Humphrey an absolute gun. Just doesnt make any errors. I still expect them to take the prize, but it is gonna be a cracking finish.

Can the likes of Buey or Even OC & Uni test the above mentioned. If so which players are gonna push them up to contend?

Beuy- Dickinson, Webber, Edmonds and All around leg speed and skill.
Uni- Shaw, Allen, Buttler.
OC- Mitchell?- Dont know much about these guys! see them play soon

What are the thoughts?

Cheers Nasi
