it was eboue that played him onside. But still you cant let a diagonal ball like that get across the box. Silvestre used to a solid player. Sir Alex let him go at the right time. Why we got him I will never know.

Nevertheless, thats five seasons without a trophy now. Its just not good enough. Sure, we had heaps of injuries to key players, but how long will we go without ?

I was excited to see RVP back. Boy did he look good in his 20 minute spell on the pitch. Makes you wonder had he been fit all year what may have been.

We need the following in the summer:

Goalkeeper
Stopper
Central Midfielder (holding)
Striker - (apparently Chamakh is done).

That leaves three players. Go out and do the ****en business Wenger, coz we are not that far away.

1 world class CB, 1 decent backup and a GK. Worry about midfield/strikers afterwards.

Silvestre and Gallas are probably gone. That leaves Verm, Campbell and Djourou.

Vermaelen injured too I'd say that's the season over for him was a great signing by Wenger to get him.

First and foremost we need to get our defense right so a new goalkeeper and CB'(s) are in order.

We won't buy a new DM, I'd say we will get a new CB and thats all(chamakh of course).

Nope, if Chelsea win the double the community shield will be against whoever comes second in the league. Like in 1998, 1999 or 2002.
