At this point in time my summer movements would be Ramsey leaving and I'd probably offload Mkhi, bring in a quality winger and CB if we can.

Shit first half against Palace. Xhaka playing left back not giving us any pace or width. Absolute travesty that a club with our resources have to play a CM at LB.

Not creating much going forward, Palace defending well.

Atkinson missing a blatant pull on Holding leading in to the penalty, should have sent Ayew off for a dive earlier.

Didn't deserve to win, giving away 2 penalties makes it tough. Lacazette had a mare and made a disgusting decision/ pass in the attack that led to the 2nd penalty. Mustafi is just no good and dove in like the clown he is to give away the first penalty. Xhaka free kick was insane, also Auba is now leading goals per mins in this years league despite playing out wide for the most part.

All in all despite our run of 11 in all comps and 7 in a row in the league we still haven't kept a league clean sheet away from home and conceded 13 goals in 10 league games. Bellerin didn't reappear after half time so lets hope he's ok to face Liverpool as we can ill afford slow full backs vs the pace they posses.

We really saw the best and worst of Xhaka last night, goes without saying he's not a left back. I take it Monreal and Kolasinac are injured? To think we started the season with Maitland-Niles in that position.
We really need to spend some money to replace Mustafi, has some good moments but like Xhaka, just too error prone.
After an incredible game last week, Ozil went back inside his shell and hardly had an impact.
Lacazette was also pretty anonymous, but had poor service throughout. His errant pass also led to the equaliser.
Torreira was fantastic at winning possession and won plenty of free kicks, including the one that led to Xhaka's goal.

Just finished the replay, would have to say a fair result in the end. A bit disappointing to concede late on but having said that, fortunate to score our second with the handball by Lacazette.

Ozil’s problem is consistency. Not expecting him to replicate last week’s game every match, as that would be almost unrealistic. He was ridiculously good last week. But he was anonymous at times last night, can’t blame Emery for making the switch.

I don’t know what happened to Kolasinac, pretty sure he was fit again and I saw him on the subs bench a few weeks ago. A bit of an indictment on the club that Xhaka is a makeshift LB. He did what he could and his goal was clinical, but he’s just not a LB.

Need to address these slow starts. Took us at least 25 minutes or so to click into gear. Palace spurned a few chances and should’ve been ahead earlier.

Having said that, I felt Bellerin should’ve scored. Right on the penalty spot, but took one touch too many. Laca also should’ve done better on his left, should at least get that on target.

Not sure of the severity of Bellerin’s injury, but at least we have Lichsteiner to step in. A genuine full back at least. AMN I think is back in the u23s so hopefully that’s the last time Xhaka will be called upon on the left side.

Torreira is fantastic and continually impressed with Guendouzi. His reactions when a goal is missed is gold, the bloke genuinely gives a shit.

12 game unbeaten run, plenty to like about what Emery is producing here.

I think Xhaka had a surprisingly good game. He's certainly not a left back and was clearly cautious about getting forward knowing he doesn't have the pace to match Zaha, Townsend or Ayew. Unlucky to get done by Zaha with a shitty penalty but that's life.

Ozil struggled as Palace played very well. They were very impressive with their closing down and space restriction in the centre meaning Doozy (haha i like it) and Torreira had to pass to the fullbacks more often.

Unfortunately Xhaka robbed us of a pacey wide player, Bellerin caused them problems and at least provided some overlap.

I agree with windyhill that Palace will scalp some teams at home so a point away isn't that horrible.

Liverpool in the league next will show roughly where we are at. I'm not expecting anything at this stage so lets not collectively lose our shit if things get a bit messy. This season is about learning.

Spot on analysis here.

With Liverpool, Tottenham & United( Away) as 3 of our next 5 I think it's huge critical we must win our games at home to Wolves and at Bournemouth.

Would definitely take 10 points even from these fixtures. Tough period coming up.

Haven’t seen any of this morning’s game yet. Will watch the replay this evening. Guendouzi with a red card, my understanding is though that the rules have recently changed.

Meaning he’s available for the premier league but has to serve his suspension in the next Cup game?

A full debut for Pleguezuelo. Never heard of him but keen to see how he fared.

With AMN back and only playing an hour this morning, he could come in to play left back with Xhaka moving back into the middle.
Any news on Bellerin's injury?

Arsenal have therefore confirmed that centre-backs Laurent Koscielny and Dinos Mavropanos and defensive midfielder Mohamed Elneny remain out, while Hector Bellerin is a doubt for Saturday.

His fellow full-backs Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal are both being assessed ahead of the visit of Blackpool, with concerns over their hamstring problems suggesting they could also miss out at the weekend.

Petr Cech and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are back fit, however, and could provide cover in goal and at left-back respectively.

Was good to see Jenkinson back, he's a decent backup and loves the club.
May have just been me, but it seemed most of the players looked to avoid passing it to him when he was completely open.

After Cech's brain fade, happy to stick with Leno as first choice keeper.
