I thought we played much much better. Defense was great as a unit with Tomiyasu, Gabriel and Ramsdale having standout games.

Again, with a team like Burnley playing with all 11 players in their box for most of the game it can be expected that the forwards would struggle but concerned that we are still failing to take the opportunities we are creating when the game opened up after the goal, should have been 2/3 goals at the end.

I think Saka needs a bit of a rest.

Midfield should always be 3 of Party/ESR/Sambi/Odegarrd/AMN. I thought Party was great and Odegarrd was solid. Xhaka to the bench (or bin).

Much more enjoyable (and bearable) to watch that performance when the result is known. It wasn’t great and dour viewing at times.

I like the formation and clearly this is a system Arteta has been trying to acquire the players to deploy in. Partey is a brilliant player when fit and in form. He transforms that entire midfield.

I think Saka needs a rest and has had a huge few months for himself personally. This is a natural come down. Wouldn’t mind seeing Martinelli given a crack and perhaps Saka can come on for him.

Gabriel outstanding and so was Tomiyasu and Ramsdale. White had some very poor moments and lucky to come out of that penalty situation unscathed (very underhit back pass that sold Ramsdale short).

So many opportunities fluffed at the other end though. Just the final pass was missing that could’ve put Aubameyang through on goal. Fortunate it didn’t come back to haunt. Take those 3 points and get the * outta there.

Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino has become the subject of an international tussle as Spain attempt to persuade him to switch allegiance away from England.

Highly-rated Patino, whose rise through the youth ranks has already drawn comparisons with Jack Wilshere, signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in October 2020 when he turned 17.

We could give him a run tonight

Hope so. He looks absolutely class in the U23's and in other junior games.

That goal against United last week in the u23s was ridiculously good. Put Phil Jones and Henderson on their backsides whilst he did as he pleased.

Has been training with the first team for a few weeks as well, hopefully is in the squad for the league cup game at least. Even that experience itself would be something.

Hopefully Partey is nowhere near this starting line up. Should give starts to the likes of Martinelli, Tavares, Sambi, Balogun etc.

No Patino in the squad. Arteta going with a strong team, Partey may feature.

Arteta must be feeling the pressure. Good, that's the only positive given we will probably be subjected to watching spuds like El Neny, Soares and Mari play.

Glad there were no injuries, especially for Partey. Would’ve been nice if Patino got 15 minutes or so in the second half.

Balogun really needs a loan in January, it seems that Nketiah is still ahead of him in the pecking order.

Following a Missouri judge’s decision to deny the NFL’s motion for summary judgment in a 2017 antitrust lawsuit related to the Rams moving from St. Louis to Los Angeles a year earlier, the league, franchise and team owner Stan Kroenke may be looking to settle the case out of court before it goes to trial.

But the cost to settle the suit, which alleges the Rams move St. Louis to L.A. was a breach of contract, fraud, illegal enrichment and interference in business that caused significant public financial loss, could be very, very pricey.

With a pre-trial hearing scheduled for Friday and a trial date set for January 2022, it may make sense for the plaintiffs to settle ahead of the trial, and sports attorney Daniel Wallach told Front Office Sports a $1 billion figure could be a “starting point” for the settlement, warning there may be “major damages” if a St. Louis jury rules against Kroenke and the NFL.

How major?

“The plaintiffs claim the city, county, and state have lost more than $100 million in hotel, property tax, sales tax, and ticket tax revenues since the Rams left town,” according to FOS. “If the judge allows the jury to consider the valuation increase along with the $550 million relocation fee, punitive damages — which multiply damages as a deterrent — could surpass $10 billion.”

The Missouri Supreme Court has refused to block an order that required Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke and other NFL officials to release their financial records if they lose a lawsuit filed after the Rams moved out of St. Louis.

Lawyers for Kroenke, the NFL and five other league executives had asked the court to block a ruling issued in July by St. Louis Circuit Judge Christopher McGraugh requiring them to turn over their records for a jury to consider punitive damages.
