Way to take things out of context, but I shouldn't have expected any less. Clearly wasn't referring to youth in what Shoei was talking about.

We clearly need an established, big name, world class centre forward.

I hear you're a beautiful man.

And we've been doing well with Giroud/Bendtner so far this season. Sign Draxler in the summer and he'll become the next vPersie.

Arsene confirming what we already knew, that we had left it too late in the window to make a move for anyone else once Kallstrom's injury was discovered.

Wenger added: "I wouldn't have signed him if we had another two or three days, but it was on Friday at 5pm."

City losing at home is an added bonus for us, they've been destroying teams there. Lots and twists and turns to come in the remaining 14 games, but those last games in March against Chelsea & City consecutively will be massive.

Would it be enough to silence Wenger critics until the end of his new contract?

That would be 3 league titles and 5 FA cups

Edit - Or 4 league titles and 4 FA cups

His work in the market still leaves a lot to be desired though.

Why? Because he hasn't bought the players everyone wants that aren't available? Don't say Draxler either, because the player himself said Schalke nixed the deal for reasons other than money.

Because he piss farts around and goes the cheaper option most of the time and often leaves things to the last minute.

Our only succesful signing of the last two windows has been Ozil.

I like how you arbitrarily stopped at "two windows" so that it only includes a single meaningful transfer period, the one before the season started. I'm also highly amused you think getting nothing in the summer window is some kind of disaster, because everyone and everything is available for reasonable prices. Even City with their endless resources and still needing more for their squad to guarantee a title bought nothing this period. Why? Nothing there to get.

You can whine about not spending all of the money all of the time on all of the bestest players in the world all you want, but Arsene's transfer policy in the last 3 seasons has landed us Ozil, Monreal, Flamini, Mertesacker, Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arteta, none of whom we paid overs for while only Santos, Park and Gervinho have been outright flops. Not to mention we've managed to make the most of having three of our best players walk out on the club for specific destinations in City, Barcelona and United, denying us a price bulging bidding war.

There's nothing wrong with Arsene's work in the market. It's jut not the work that you personally want him to do.

Ozil was done on the last day of the window, Monreal has been solid. Mertesacker and Arteta were panic buys purchased on the last day of the window. He had all three months to sort it out yet waited to the final day. Why? Same thing can be said about Ozil, and Kallstrom now. Every man and his dog knew we needed a DM, yet he piss farted about and waited until the last ****ing minute and we end up with Kim ****ing Kallstrom.

Granted Ox, Per, Santi, Giroud and to an extent Poldi have worked out, but **** me he needs to spend proper money and not always fish around for bargains. We have the money, use it.

Oh and there is the striker we needed at the start of the season and still don't have now.

The striker that YOU think we need, the manager disagrees. I imagine we'll pursue one if Bendtner does leave end of this season, which was the reason we were in for Ba.

Oh ok, so they have worked out, but we were still shit in the window because reasons and made up things, gotchya.

I do like how you;re being completely oblivious to that fact that half of the window across Europe was held up by Daniel Levy being a muppet over Bale to Madrid, and that a significant number of transfers could not happen until that one did because of the knock on.

You need to accept that not a single thing you're claiming is fact, just opinion based on pundit opinion based on half the information or less.

Not particularly looking to argue, and we clearly disagree, which is fine.

But do you honestly think we don't need a striker? The manager also disagrees about everyone else's thoughts about Diaby, so you are on his side there too?

I conceded to a point, but you blatantly ignored valid points I made. Fair enough.

Striker, no.

Centre Forward, only if Bendtner leaves. With our midfield and gameplan there is no room or need for a striker, what we play with is a centre forward the play can pivot around. Hence, if Bendtner leaves we should be after another one if one of the right quality is available for a not stupid price.

CF/ST the same thing, a forward.

Not the same thing no.

In any event, no such player was on the market in the January window, so we didn't buy one.

Cool though, tell me which big name centre forwards we should be going for and are likely to be available for less than a Gulf of Aden ransom in the summer window?

Large, powerful and physical player, great with back to goal, equal or better dstributor than Giroud and a better finisher, is what is required. Drogba at his peak.
