Perhaps Del P let his chance slip there. You simply have to nail federer if you have a break. How often are 3rd sets the fulcrum set? I suspect 90% of the time. It isn't over though. Del P is competitive with nothing to lose whereas as usual history is weighing on Fed.

He's a gun when it falls right for him but 45 unforceds 3 games into the 4th set.....its surely not on to be so wayward and beat federer?

That said isn't it great to see a gunfight, a game with both men having the game to go for the win instead of waiting for their opponent to lose?

Del P playing first yesterday and having a virtual walkover in his semi may come into play now.

8 games into set 4 we have had 91 winners. Fantastic attacking tennis. 47 to 44 in favour of Fed. Win or lose Del P is actually flashing the winners V Fed at Flushing Meadows and of course Fed is doing the same as he usually does. Great sight. Cavalier tennis. The real deal.
