I posted something about the use of "understood" when it comes to making up bullshit rumours in an previous post, but since Hackdorn's article now has legs on the Herald Sun website, I'll revisit it.
From now on, whenever you want to say something ridiculous or blantantly false, just use the words "it is understood"...you'll get away with not having to name sources or diminishing your journalistic credibility...
For example:
"It is understood that Stronzo makes paper airplanes in the bathtub while singing the theme music to Good Times".
Or, "It is understood that Memories is really 130kg and can't come back from Tasmania because he can't fit on the plane".
Or, "It is understood that hitmeup007 and Salim Malik are the same person".
