I dunno anymore…or know what’s going on…. And it’s been many years since lve just felt meh…because lm not filled with confidence that we as a club will actually do anything about it..
l feel that we seriously need to look at what the heck are we doing in the off season ….our players seem to switch too quickly back to bad habits.. or simply just don’t turn up when heavens forbid it gets a little tough.
I suppose what makes me question this was this statement l found.



Yep we have stagnated and they have gone zoom….thats what l find particularly frustrating this year. Someone might do a draft picks selections…how many each club has taken…..but crikey with the amount we have running around…why are we still mediocre.
Yes lm envious of how they have become the team they are…but geez it irks me that we’re still bumbling away at the foothold of the ladder….

As for free agency and our fabled war chest…that we never seem to spend….thats feeling like a chapter from a fantasy novel now….trying to sell the story is going to be a very hard sell. Yes l know it’s hard …and one must pay overs….but the chest is something that annoys me when it’s mentioned..but nothing materialises.

I can’t wait to have the men back in charge so I can watch Stephenson, Polec, Hall, Walker, Pittard, et al all playing under the expert tutelage of Noble; and throwing big money at players that were never going to come rather than rebuilding while we had some good professionals playing for us.

If you’re going to blame anyone, blame all the men who have got us here, such that it has taken Clarkson and Viney more than 2-years to just put together a half functioning football team.

We were monstered today by Petracca and Oliver in the clinches. The young guys did what they could, but were not up to it physically. Does not help with Gawn out to prove a point and Xerri battle weary two-thirds into the season.

There are kids coming through who care and want to win but for every one of them there is a senior player who has checked the f*** right out and is unwilling to do all the hard things required to win.

Saying they had who they had out there rejects the position we were in and what we let slip.

Thilthorpe, Draper, Rachele, Michalanney, Curtin: that’s a nice variety of skill sets to service all over the ground.

Yeh **** that comparison. Give me a Rankine and Dawson returning home any ****ing day.

Add in senior players like cumming peatling et al on top of their other senior stalwarts and you can understand why.

Then compare that to zurhaar, LDU, Larkey, Simpkin, McDonald,

Dees are a wolf in sheep's clothing.

With the possible exception of Brisbane, no team boasts a better top end with Gawn, Petracca, Oliver, Pickett, Lever, Viney and May.

Hard to believe Goodwin doesn't cop as much heat as Voss does tbh.

With the exception of Parker, not one midfielder of ours belongs in the same company as Petracca, Viney and Oliver when it comes to grunt.

We got out grunted today - and it was always on the cards after you knew no way Gawn was going to lower his colours to Xerri like he did last time.

Put FOS, McKercher, Sheezel, Wardlaw, Curtis and Hardeman in Melbourne colours tomorrow and you have a contender.

Pretty clear where we're falling down. Our senior players are terrible.

That in itself should have us all very ****ing worried...
