Simpkin spent most of the day on the forward line too.

We lost because X got well beaten by Gawn and the midfield generally wasn't up to stopping their midfield, particularly in the first half of the fourth quarter.

I assume - rightly or wrongly - that this is mostly about protecting other players than Daniel because kicking out of our FB to a stagnant team is one of the toughest gigs around. Personally I would rotate it more - like to see McKercher, Hardiman involved more. Just feel it keeps teams more honest if it isn't the same setup every time.

Another Simpkin momentum sapping clanger where he hits it 10m over Dawson head and Melbourne take it down and score a goal.

Parker was shitful as well. Missing simple handballs that resulted in turnovers.

It’s not even the kids making these dumbarse ****ups its experienced players.

Caleb Daniel is good for a couple of turnover goals per game.

Simpkin had one turnover for the day. Nearly a quarter of our turnovers came from McKercher and Hardeman who were sposed to be taking the ball out of the backline.
