Absolutely critical that if we lose we don't get blown out of the water. Melbourne did us a bit of a favour by not getting thrashed by Essendon today, but we still have to ensure that we aren't demolished by more than about 5 goals.

Geez I'm dirty about the game.
In previous years I probably would have been happy to go down by 14 points, saying that it was a good effort. But the game was there to be won and at the start of the last quarter noone stood up.

It really was the one that got away.

if geelong are not playing fremantle im a pretty passionate dockers fan, but i must say they pussied out in the last quater especially the midfielders.

Not sure they "pussied out" as you put it, but except for about 10 minutes in the third quarter we got pretty well smashed in the clearances all day.

You musn't watch Freo much, it happens pretty much every game.

It is our biggest weakness by quite a long way, I reckon, and Sydney exploited it well.

But saying they didn't go into the contest properly in the last quarter is wrong. Beaten, yes, but saying they played with no ticker, no.

Goalkicking definitely was a factor in the final quarter. Set shots by your lads were going everywhere.

Many of those shots were from Destructive's pocket though.
