Ahh, the old wet shopping bag trick, the OEG cocktail party specialty!

Did you have an OEG Cocktail Party the night before the Grand Final in 2000? I remember you guys losing by a point against us in the semi only to lose by over 100pts in the Grand Final!

There was only one change to that side from the 2nd Semi, Heritage out injured, shows you his importance to the side.

I heard that Heritage played at fullback in the semi final and used his nose to stop balls going through for a goal?

Come grand final day Old Essedon couldn't fill the massive hole down back?

For all you thousands planning on seeing the D1 blockbuster (aka "who will chortle at replacing Banyule") match, Ormond v Fitzroy Reds, please note that the match venue has changed.

With Brunswick Street down for its second consec season of ground renovations, due to be finished officially "about the same time as the Spencer Street refurb", the Reds have been playing home games at the lesser Punt Road Oval.

This week there seems to be some sort of double-booking, so the match has been shifted to De Chene Reserve, in East Coburg, at the top of the Nicholson St tramline.

CFE and monnerfan, I think yer both Ormond fans or players, so ... umm ... there you have it.

Gerday play on, been a while since I'm seen you around here!

Nope, its our 5-year anniversary tomorrow so we'll be out of town. Also, next week's match is only a 5 minute walk from where I live so that one seemed a better option.

I have a feeling FitzroyRamone and possibly Slax will be there, though.

I think this has gone on long enough. If you have to ask, I was getting ready for work. Do you have an issue with that?

Why would it surprise you that Maghamez is named in the squad?

Frazer out with a crushed pelvis after having a bookshelf on top of him

What have you heard Slitherin'. Is this a new romance?

An unfortunate injury sustained by Frazer, but a lesson there to be learned for everyone.

Benny,

There seemed to be considerably less ferals than usual down at Brindisi St for the OEG V ST Bedes clash last Saturday. Have the toothless St Bede supporters lost faith after a 0-4 start to the season?

They are quite fickle the Tigers Ferals, they were at their best last year when we were flying, however they have dropped off considerably this year which is a shame for all concerned, it detracts from our advantage at home.

After a courageous loss at the weekend to De La Selle, this weekend Caulfield take on Old Essendon at the home of Amateur Football, Elsternwick Park. The two former foes of years gone by reacquiant for what should be a great match. Caulfield will go in favourites after Essendon again failed to smash much weaker opposition.

Box Hill North are in the 4 for the first time since joining the VAFA, sitting in second at 3-1 after Saturday's win against Richmond Centrals. Will be interesting to see how we go for the rest of the season. I think we'll win about 10 games and finish 5th-6th.
