Did anyone go and watch the U23s on sat? was it a case of the same mistakes from the WA match being repeated? there was certainly a huge change in personnel. must admit i was surprised to see lewski not in the team and racking up 53 possessions for ajax on sun. what about holst? he was one of the best backmen in the first game and tall key position.

thoughts?

ISTS, on a dry day i rekon the Vics wouldve beat SA but as it turned out SA adapted better to the conditions. Woosha pulled out because Ajax didnt have the bye (although the VAFA admin tried to force him to play for Victoria by threatening to revoke his registration). Alot of blokes withdrew because of injury but Charlie Holst getting dropped was a disgrace!

Suprised Sutho from OI didn't get a game. Thought he would have been suited by conditions. We were smashed in the guts (again). Conditions certainly didn't help! Agree re Holst.

Frankie Dunell never could win the big ones.

Two losses from the Vics will mean less players in the all-Oz team, which will mean fewer Vics going to Ireland, which will mean, sadly, that a number of VAFA officials might miss out on a green and gold blazer in 2007.

Which in turn means less players being poached by the WAAFL!!!!

i know i wasnt at the game and didnt witness the standard, but i know in past years both sa and wa ammos have been a bit worse than our ammos. this is mainly just because of population. the better players play in those states play WAFL or SANFL. in vic obviously good players play VFL but there are plenty running around in the VAFA. i would imagine the VAFA could scrounge enough talent to beat these two sides. im still astounded at some of the selections.

dunnells and his advisors have lost the plot. you're right boys, no more green and gold jackets....shame

I think it came down to lack of preparation on the vics behalf and they also came up against more motivated sides in WA and SA because it had been so long since either of them had beaten us. Dunnell resigned after the game so we wont be seeing him again anyway. Pretty good timing that as i'm fairly certain he would've been sacked anyway. Just saving face one would think...

Dunell resigned? He should have been arrested and charged with crimes against Victorian Amateur football. He wouldn't be lonely in the dock.

Rumour has it that Lewski submitted a letter to the VAFA stating he wanted to play for Club not Vic. team and the VAFA granted his request....apparently didn't care about possible trip to Ireland again as he had already done it...don't think it impressed VAFA hierachy coming from the person they named V.C. of the team who lost to W.A earlier this season...and didn't get his club over the line on Sunday either....

a touch harsh though considering the VAFA scheduled two matches on weekends when his club had games on. at the end of the day he's accountable to his club. i mean i know playing for your state is a big deal and most guys would give an arm to do it, but overall the decision lies with him. not good enough by the VAFA to threaten to take away his playing rights. i understand he was VC and an all-australian but dont forget ajax can also pressure him to play with them. who knows and you know what....who really cares?

When the Boogy Man goes to bed at night he checks the closet for Sean Towner.

I heard that if you can see Sean Towner, he can see you. However, if you can't see Sean Towner you may be only seconds away from death...

I've heard that Sean Towner can win a game of Connect Four in only 3 moves.

really??? thats awesome i love board games. cos incidentally on his website www.THEseantowner.com it claims that sean is the reason 'wally' is hiding. it also notes that sean towner can lead a horse to water AND actually make it drink.
