Tragic. Words cant do this justice.

This will definitely make me think more about my actions in future. The concept of what John allegedly did, getting stuck and possibly trying something unrealistic to get to safety, is definitely something i would be likely to do when UTI.

Therein lies the tragedy that befalls tragedies.

An investigation can only provide the known facts, it's the unknown(s) that can be the most traumatic.

And yes, certainly support, without qualification, everyone's acknowledgement of KT's public presence and undoubtedly the many more people behind the scenes.

Might've tried to get mobile phone reception, might've been looking to spot a familiar landmark to get his bearings, then when locked up there he might've been worried about getting in trouble for trespassing.

If we all made completely rational and 110% measured decisions when under the influence we probably wouldn't bother drinking in the first place.

If I told my Mum the things that I have gotten away with, both drunk and sober (when I was young), she'd probably have a stroke.

This situation seems ridiculous from afar but with a little thought it doesn't seem that far fetched. The avoidability of the incident though, that's what really hurts, and would bring up so many what if's it could drive a person mad. Horrible situation.

I'm still amazed he was able to get onto the roof.


Surely someone has to lose their job over that at the very least. Possible for his family to get damages from the casino?
 
Went down today and left our tribute, a number 35 guernsey.
The shrine is certainly building. Again well done to the guys who got it all started.

channel 7 just had something on it, i missed it as I was just passing by the TV, had a few fans talking about the shock and how hard it hit, also showed the Facebook page calling for a tribute game

All plausible but I don't get why he wouldn't just ask for directions, this is Las Vegas I'm sure people would have been around. The roof part is the illogical part for me and jumping for a tree at that height. We will never know and it's all inconsequential now.

Went down to John's memorial this morning and placed a photo of him with a small message of love. Great to see so many supporters and people in general showing their grief and placing a part of themselves for this wonderful kid. Those who wish can add this as a wallpaper (1400x900) on their computer.
 
watched the whole presser and lost my composure completely. Feel dreadful for obviously Dani and John's family as well as the 10 guys who will live with this till they die.

Gut wrentching.

I had originally thought he must have been on the roof for a matter of minutes, but going by the interviews, maybe he was stuck on the roof for as long as an hour. Footage going in at 4:30, if as Bailey suggested he was seen either immediately or in the act of falling at 5:40 then maybe he was stuck on the roof for a fair amount of time. Maybe he did bang on the door for some time to get back in, maybe he tried to get the attention of people on the ground for no result. Maybe the palm tree was a last resort....one that seemed a genuine, inconspicuous and safe enough option.

I also got the impression from KT that he may have called Dani/spoken to the player whilst he was stuck on the roof.

Yer he could have been . But if he spoke to the player on the roof even though he was drunk , wouldn't he have maybe said "mate need some help stuck on roof of flamenco casino can't get back in, can you come help me out"
 
Honestly,

I don't know if its just me, but I have attempted to do some pretty ridiculous things while drunk and alot of them have involved climbing and the like, especially of tree's.

If I was in his position, it wouldn't have been out of the question.

Though I don't want to guess at anything.
 
The original police report said the CCTV footage shows he was at the Flamingo for only a few minutes. If that's right then I'm not sure about your theory Macca.

Or was the CCTV stuff a few minutes between him entering the front door and in the hallway that lead to the door to get to the roof??

yer see thats the thing every one is different and people do things and act differently on booze. See i have never climbed or would try stuff like that when drunk because i know would most likely fall or whatever.

The reported timeline was that John spoke to Dani at 4am, CCTV footage recorded him entering the Flamingo at 4.30am and he was found at 5.40am.

There door that he used to get on the roof should have been locked...


Still hurts seeing this and hurst even more finding out more details ...just I dunno it's just upsetting
