1cm taller than Ryder at 197cm. Not saying he has the skilz, but at that height, ruck is not an impossibility, especially the way we do it at the WO!!

We need a ruck just in case English, Trengove, Boyd, Schache, Dunkley, Sweet, Bontempelli, Cordy and Daniel all go down with injury.

I don’t actually think Boyd has been coached as a ruck so his ruckwork is serviceable at best. His career is being destroyed. Just stick him in the forward line. Let him get some confidence as a forward, not build his tank in the ruck and then switch to forward. Don’t recall Hawkins has been anywhere but in the forward 50 over his career, even when he was **** and cats fans were calling for him to be dumped.

Tom Hawkins was actually played in the ruck at Geelong a few years before he hurt his back, was quite good as well. No tank so
reverted pretty quickly to the "Bear In The Square".

Ok what we know...

West,Khumis are going to be very good footballers for us..
We must pick up R.Williams in mid season draft he and Khumis looked amazing reading off each other really was great to see.
Boyd moved well
Young looked good in the ruck
Lynch has the skill must stay with him plays better in better teams think Bruest cant touch it at vfl but kills afl

Now the bad..

Roberts was in the best players you must be joking he was shocking.......
Schache wow looked yuk....

Dale pulled out a few times not good
williams playing with no confidence
Webb needs time but looks ok

I think he would play as a forward if he came into the team and perhaps alternate with Naughton every second quarter.

To be honest our list management did a horrendous job at our KPP situation. Losing 5 KPPs and filling only one slot was poor list management. Meanwhile we have about 15-20 small to medium defenders on our list.

We desperately need a mature strong KPP to fill a hole at either end but quite simply we don’t have one.

Dunno about that. All English has got is height. Young is 3kg heavier. Both have a reasonable leap.

Anyway, I don't really want to see Young at centre bounces. It's worth trying him up forward where he played his junior footy. Might as well. With Schache and Boyd out of contention we have no other KPF option .... unless you count Roberts.
