Again, thanks to Total Package from EFH for putting this together he is a legend. Here are highlights of Natinui, Davis & Notte from yesterdays game.

Nice to see Chris Masten caught the early flight back to be the goal umpire for this match (6m 36s)

And I agree with a lot of what is being said here. Our kids are talented, let them follow thier instincts. Im sure the coaching staff recognises this. I hope so, at least.

Haha, he does look quite similar doesn't he.

Boy, I can't wait till Notte beefs up because he is such a clean player with great hands, vision and a great footy brain too.

He looks about as interested as deaf man at a operah. Hes gotta stop using his thin frame as a excuse and have a ****ing crack

You've got a point, he's got so much talent though.

I reckon in a year he might be big enough to be playing in the seniors, he still wont be huge and will get pushed around but he'll be big enough to have an impact.

Hes been in the WAFL for 2 years and ive never seen him win a contested ball on the ground or even go for it. Seems too comfortable atm. Personally id delist him and re rookie him. A good talent but still frustrating. At this rate he will be ready by the age of 24

Whoa Embers :S

Doubt he was told not to go for a contested.

Probably needs to finish out the year on steak+gym diet. Hes much much bigger than he was when we drafted him but he's still only 19 so he has time on his side to buik up.

Hard to run and carry when your playing 80% of the time as a tall forward pocket. In general though he doesnt run and carry cos hes on the bottom of the pack getting a hard ball get. He could run and carry if he wanted but its a waste of his big frame. He lands on his feet and becomes another clearance winning midfielder. Thats his natural game and we shouldnt hinder him doing that

He does at times but is primarily a ball winner. He looks great when he does because he has a real burst speed and strength that makes him near impossible to tackle and he has real x-factor. Even if he is somehow tackled he always seems to get a handball away to a teammate or to advantage.

I'm a bit concerned on some of the thoughts on Nicko on this forum. This view that he'll dominate up forward and mark everything within 10 metres is unrealistic.

Currently, he is a pure ruckman. He needs to work on many facets of his game and his best value forward will be as a tall that adds a different dimension while learning the caper.

Ultimately, he's still a kid and still a tall. Just because he's a high draft pick or physically talented doesn't mean he should develop in less time then usual.

Doesn't look TOO light either really.

Has bulked up considerably.

He is still VERY light

His 194cm frame is third lightest in the squad behind Masten and Bedford who are both 180cm.

He is 78kg, no other senior listed player above 191cm weighs less then 91kg

Tell me when he used it as an excuse...

Tell me what his weight training program is...

Tell me what his instructions during a game are...

He's still a kid for Christ's sake. He's just 1 month older then Naitanui and 3 months off being the youngest in the team.

It's also worth noting that his WAFL performances this year are not far off rivaling Josh Kennedy's. A bloke who has far more experience and size.

Thanks for the feedback.

He looked ok on TV. I recall last season his first game wasa shocker but after that he showed promise.

Re Nic Nat - I agree with an earlier comment that he looks a pure ruckman at the moment. But glimpses show what may be.

Yeah good idea... delist a 19 year old key position forward with huge talent that is actually doing well in patches of games...........

Woosha when interviewed at half time against Carlton spefically made mention of that fact and told the players to back themselves in with their skills.... so they'd definately be being told that.

 Tony Notte is probably the most talented WAFL forward running around at the moment.

You dont like the fact that he cant win the ball at ground level? Here's an idea, look at his vice like hands and contested marking ability despite the fact that he is a stick.

In terms of winning the hard ball, often he'll scoop it up before it becomes a contest, run away from congestion and pump it long.

Very stupid post.

interesting that cockie is getting rested today.

he'll probably play next week and be right in for AFL contention the following week.

Consistent theme lately. :(

Arrowsmith: 10 touches, 2marks, 3behinds

Schofield: 4 touches:thumbsd:

Jones: 14 touches, 6 marks, 3 tackles

Amazing. I think Paddy Ryder had 13 against Collingwood earlier in the year and it helped them turn the tide in the clearances and ultimately win the game.

If Cox can lift and we have Nic Nat acting like a deranged pussy cat eating werewolf in the middle as well it might put our mids on level pegging with the geelong stars, ablett, selwood, bartel etc etc.

Just got a message from a mate whose a royals supporter and was there for the reserves game.

Aparently Schuey only played about 20 minutes but looked promising in the time he had and kicked a good goal from the pocket.
