Seeing as multiple people seem to have forgotten, abuse is against the rules of BF. Continuous, page long attacks directed at a single poster in this thread will result in threadbans for a week from this point; doing so again once you have returned will make the bans permanent and will be escalated to infractions.

This thread still has misinformation rules, and occasionally you will be asked to demonstrate a claim you have made by moderation. If you cannot, you will be offered the opportunity to amend the post to reflect that it's opinion, to remove the post, or you will be threadbanned and infracted for sharing misinformation.

Addendum: from this point, use of any variant of the word 'orc' to describe combatants, politicians or russians in general will be deleted and the poster will receive a warning. If the behaviour continues, it will be escalated. Consider this fair warning.

Finally: If I see the word Nazi or Hitler being flung around, there had better have a good faith basis as to how it's applicable to the Russian invasion - as in, video/photographic evidence of POW camps designed to remove another ethnic group - or to the current Ukrainian army. If this does not occur, you will be threadbanned for posting off topic

This is a sensitive area, and I understand that this makes for fairly incensed conversation sometimes. This does not mean the rules do not apply, whether to a poster positing a Pro-Ukraine stance or a poster positing an alternative view.

A bit of a change of theme: I've followed this band (IC3PEAK) for some 8ish years since hearing Grustno Syka ("Sad Bitch"), usually some really freaky outlandish stylistic ... stuff.

This song Gde Moi Dom ("Where Is My Home") was recently released but they made a new clip (they produce their own clips) with a war relevance. You can turn on captions for a translation. It might be of interest to some. Never seen them appear so ... normal-looking!
Edit: My mistake, it's an original clip, they just had two different clips at time of release.

The gist is that the guy & his family have guardian angels, but they are unable to follow him when he leaves for war.

This won't happen, both are on tenderhooks with their voters and can't afford coffins coming back. It's always couched with 'once a peace deal is established', Russia won't sign a deal that requires peacekeepers so its moot

Hello Jello (quite rightly). From what I can tell movement / gains are very stagnant but fighting is still busy. RF is gaining ground but extremely slowly now. Ukraine is staging many counters, with some success. BUT RF is still gaining more ground in Kursk oblast, and gaining a little ground north of Kupyansk. The rest of the frontline is barely changing.

One Russian mate returned from service, he reckons he's writing a book, and will use me for an opinion. Gonna be interesting cos he's not been outspoken about his opinion of that time, its a wait-and-see for me. I know he was very against the invasion and earlier was "I don't care who knows" and "I'll get out of here" but as he was newly out of uni he was probably a bit fanciful. No idea why he ended up serving time, whether he fought it or nominated (money?), let alone where or what happened.

Bit of a breeze building off the coast here in Brisvegas :O, but otherwise doing ok.

Britain and France are just waiting to send it's troops into Ukraine to support the ceasefire.
Once Ukraine secures it's mineral's deal with the US.
Russia can threaten all it wants with nuclear retaliation, but Britain and France will retaliate with their own nuclear weapons as well.

I think Europe will see the main benefit of any minerals deal, which will annoy donny. Happy days.
