Warnock Nominates Blues As Preference

An Hawthorn supporter talking about fair trade is bit rich. Do you forget Pelchin tricked Roos not once but twice ?

first, you should read a "grammar for dummies" book.

secondly, all reports from both clubs, is that the HFC would not release Thompson and Hay for anything less then 2 1st rounders.

Thompson had already come out about his depression at hawthorn, and everyone in the footy world knew.

As for Jon Hay, this perception the Hawks knew is a total lie. shane Crawford, who is very good friends with hay, didnt even know about his BiPolar.

the kangaroos were a little upset that they paid high price for hay, and some in that club said the HFC must have known.

There was no "tricking." The HFC said what they wanted for those players, and got it.

Now, as for the blues. There is a fair chance warnock has selected the Blues because he does want to be there. However, chris Judd was different, and it is well known.

Judd had wanted to go to collingwood, even said it in a few interviews, but for some strange reason, when Carlton said they would pay him 3x the amount collingwood would, he decided that is where he wanted to go.

what he said was "head says collingwood but heart says carlton." he never said he wanted to go to collingwood. all clubs were offering around the same money, but hey lets make things up to back up your argument.

Brett Ratten's current dream could become a nightmare if that team does not play finals footy in the next 2 seasons.

This is hilarious.

Warnock has to be the most overrated player in the league right now, and the Blues might be paying him 300K+ per year?:o

He may well be a star in the making, but if he's not then Carlton will be left red faced. Kid must be laughing his ass off right about now!

What's funnier is the Blue supporters posting rubbish like "Haha, the bitterness makes it sweeter!" etc etc. Yeah, you might be paying a small fortune for an unproven ruckman, we're all dying with envy.

Apparently Freo offered him as much as Carlton, they must rate him highly.

cant find them, however, specificly remember journos asking him where he would prefer to go, and he said Collingwood, I am sure there are other people who remember this?

He said positive thing's about a few clubs but he never specifically said that Collingwood was his prefered choice. He was simply being diplomatic.

Collingwood and Carlton were the only clubs that had a hope in hell of getting Judd. The others had no hope at all:thumbsu:

Judd never said his preference Collingwood. After originally nominating Essendon, Melbourne, Carlton and Collingwood, he had decided it was down to the two. Judd said that Collingwood's ability to trade with West Coast, after West Coast indicated it didn't want to trade with Collingwood, was a factor in chosing Carlton. He also said his head chose Collingwood but his heart said Carlton.

The source is the link I posted earlier.

This is irrelevant to the present discussion except that it's quite funny that Warnock, who may be promising but has done SFA, is naming preferences for clubs as if he is in the same galaxy as Judd. Nick Stevens nominated his preference for Collingwood, but he was an established midfielder - and Port were prepared to punish him by letting him go via the PSD. Nominating a preference is one there - getting there is another.

Stop making up lies ..you will be bound to be caught out looking like a fool .

At least backup your claims with sources.

And his wallet said Carlton

What a load of shit. If he had said this, even just once, it would have been all over the print media, so I'm sure you'll have no trouble whatsoever in providing some evidence of your lie... oh, I mean statement.

He may have just taken it out of context. Judd did have a lot of positive thing's to say about the Pies but he certainly did not nominate them as his prefered club of choice.

Well to be honest, part of the problem is that Worsfold for some reason hates Collingwood and I think it all stems back to that final in 1994 (where he sledged Mcguane) and his on-going fewd with Mick Malthouse, and I believe he refused to contemplate trading Judd to Collingwood, especially after the Pies knocked the Eagles out of the finals ...
And this same factor/grudge is exactly why Daniel Kerr won't be going to Collingwood, the club/Worsfold will refuse to trade with the Pies, and that is a fact ..

There is no excuse for tanking now hey! but seriously, that team better be winning come next year.

So you get a No. 1 pick with his greatest asset his ability around the ground and you'll station him forward?

Thats exactly what you would do if the other 2 turned into good footballers, have a look at what David Hale was doing to sides in the last part of the year.

Everyone comes out of the woodwork to hate Carlton. Apparently Robbie is not as good as before he nominated Carlton. So many spuds posting on here who might've seen Robbie play once or twice (from an oppositions POV) and are going from what they've read or heard. How do those grapes taste Melbourne posters?

Agree 100%.

Why the hell is everyone so mad about Carlton? Carlton aren't going over the salary cap, half our team are kids, this means they won't be paid as much.

Why is everyone so bitter? He chose us, get over it. We haven't got him yet anyway...... (and for those saying he will be sh*t, your wrong, he's good!)

With all due respect, Jim, The Australian don't control Warnock's destiny. I'd be surprised if we accept Pick 24, as we will take a stand on this. If Carlton don't give us something reasonable, he'll play at Melbourne next year via the PSD. Don't think for one minute that our current administration believe that some rubbish is better than nothing.

So you are saying a 2nd round pick is NOT better then nothing?
Care to explain?
