At no stage did Dwight say Watson has been better over the entirety of his career in comparison to Hodge.

Hodge hasn't outperformed Watson for 3 years with them maybe being even in 2011 due to Watsons injury, there are a couple other years which are debatable as well. Watson was still playing great footy a few years back but not as good as the first half of 2011 and all of 2012. Hodge has never shown the ability to play like Watson did in 2012 for a full season and as well as that he will have a limited pre season.

Last 3 years?

Hodge > Watson in 2010...closer in 2011, if only due to Watson's injury.

Having said that, Hodge is shot. He will never get back to what he used to be 2005-2011.

Over their careers, I'd have Bartel atop that list. 3x Premiership player, 2x AA, Norm Smith Medallist and a Brownlow medallist is quite a great achievement. Love the way he goes about his footy too.
