My God! Bagging Brittain after one bad season is one thing, but to bag our greatest ever coach in the modern era is taking it too far.

Do an assessment of Parkin's trades and recruiting and you'll find a hell of a lot more misses than hits. Trades like the Mansfield/O'Reilly one set us back years due to it costing us good young kids. We still could have challenged in 1999-2001 without the ridiculous trading & drafting Parkin partook in.

Sorry Johnny....Parkin isn't to blame...he is the coach not the recruiter.

Parkin is by far the best coach i have seen at our club and possible the AFL.

That doesn't matter. He oversees the recruiting process and has a big say in determining who should be picked for the team's requirements, for the short and long term. Why? Because he is head coach.

Parkin is by far the best coach i have seen at our club and possible the AFL.

The best performed? Sure. The best long-term planner when the draft came of age? I don't think so.

Parkin and Brittain must shoulder some of the responsibility for the state of our list post 2001.
