Saturday arvo: Our VFLW girls haven’t lost a game all season. They’ve become the hunted of the competition, and on Saturday arvo they were able to grind out a tough hard fought win against Essendon by 7 points at our spiritual home, Victoria Park, to get themselves into the Grand Final.

Sunday arvo: Our VFL lads have a slow start but then put on a cracking show and win a very entertaining game of football by 5 points against Richmond at the Punt Road oval. Richmond 15.11.101 defeated by Collingwood 16.10.106. Our VFL lads now find themselves a couple games inside the 8 and 6th on the ladder.

Sunday evening: Richmond came out hitting hard after embarrassing themselves the last few weeks, but Collingwood hung in there to run over the top of them in the last quarter, spurred on by a very loud and proud Collingwood crowd at the MCG. Richmond 11.5.71 defeated by Collingwood 13.9.87. In the process Collingwood put a knife through the finals hopes of the reigning premiers.

There are those who are currently writing us off …
Quote: Jeff Kennett, 7th July 2021 “I would have thought that there are better clubs than Collingwood”
Quote: Caroline Wilson - proud Richmond woman - 10th July 2021 “Frankly, given the prospect of an extraordinary general meeting at Collingwood and the question marks over the board’s unity, the only factor in the Magpies’ favour is that they have an official coaching vacancy.”
Write us off at your peril … go suck that egg that’s plastered all over your face
