Did Harry Cunningham play a game for us when he was still wearing the #44?

As per usual, the Swans have made the rookie earn his spot. He may have played a dozen games at another club. Let's hope he has an immediate impact by giving his usual honest hard running performance. Senior players get reinvigorated when debutantes make Solid plays
Good luck young Lloyd
Hope it's the first of 200 games

Has been very good in the ressies for a long time so deserves a go although I'm wondering if it's in the dreaded green vest?

Hopefully Biggs isn't too far away from a call up, his last year on the list, showed a bit in his senior games late last year and very good this year at ressie level.

Sorry unaware of him what position does he play :)?

Rover/Inside/outside mid. Small, gets into space and kicks 60 metres. Very good field kick and also pretty good set shot for goal. Will get the ball out of hard in and under situations. But is most damaging because he is able to make space and use the ball well. In the preseason games he got into space time and again only to be ignored by the older players. I'll even name them McVeigh, Reg, Mal, Shaw, Teddy, ROK.

I'm tired of the negativity and sniping around here, so I thought we should celebrate something positive and his name is Jake Lloyd. He had a fantastic year in the NEAFL last year - NEAFL Team of the Year, easily our best reserves player, averaged high 20s disposals - and I suspect if there was an opening in the midfield last year he probably would have got his chance then. However it wasn't to be, but he's carried on where he left off last year and finally an oppoertunity has opened up and I hope he grabs it with both hands.

2013 NEAFL
20 games
17 times named in the best (next best was Armstrong with 9)
16 goals

He's equally comfortable playing inside or outside. In the reserves, he's played more inside but when guys like Tom Mitchell and Jed Lamb were in the team he took a more outside role. He is a great runner, superb endurance athlete, has solid skills, a big right foot and an eye for goal. Would not surprise me if he were to start his career as a tagger, but probably like most Swans mids will start as a defensive half-forward.

Trivia question: who was the last Swans to play a seniors game in #44?

Richard Osborne

Yes I saw after I posted. Just a little pedantic of you Grimlock LOL. People do post before seeing the later posts you know!!
Everyone knows you're meant to read threads backwards.

Is Lloyd the young blonde kid that was firing some beautiful handballs from bottom of packs to free players during this years nab? If so really looking forward to seeing how he goes cause looked like a goer

That is him and that is what I noticed as well. He has brilliant handball skills in tight packs.

He's pretty fast, mean tank and was in the NEAFL team of the year, highest vote getter for the Swans for BOG and captained his team - apparently a steal as he really should have been drafted as a senior the year prior.

Thought young Lloyd showed promise last night.

Looks fast and lively, with game awareness. Give him another chance coach.
