At Whitten Oval Tonight at 6pm. Will be there wearing red long sleeve t shirt and jeans. Say hello

Will try to do a report later

I was there.I only got to see the thire quarter but i noticed two things. Nick bruton was everywhere( he even wanted to help out sandy by kicking the wrong way.Lucky one of nicks team mates reminded him which way werribee were kicking), and marcus picken got caught holding the ball when he had so long to get rid of it and didnt.

I can only say that he played pretty good in the thire quarter.Dont know how well he played the rest of the game, maybe chops could answer that one foe ya.

Yes Bruton did play well and did want to kick the wrong way at the start of the 3rd.
Why didn't you say hello Mel?

Not sure who won the game, it wa very a scrappy game. As the senior we had no system into the forward line. Missing a number of experienced Werribee listed players who have either left or didn't player. I think only Rau known one that played. Saunders (getting $1100 per game at Nth Ballarat) and Dyer have gone. Captain Faulkner will miss the season with a knee injury. Spoke to Shaun Smith (nice bloke) who didn't play but will go around again. Mitchell, Robertson were also on the sideline. With the loss of so many experinced players, I don't think werribee will challenge this year

Bulldog player analysis

Power - started slowly, looks out of confidence, got more of the ball as game went along
Skipper - at FF/CHF, kept trying but not a game for talls becuase of the wind and the type of game
Minson - CHFyes a big boy but not in the game very much(conditions)
Walsh - CHF/CHB looks highly skilled but very slight. A while away.
Wight - spoke to a recruiting officer (Bob) who said that foot injury isn't that bad. Played first half with a few touches. Didn't see him after the half.
Brad Murphy - started ok but drifted out of game
Bruton - won most taps and took a number of marks. So skinny. Spoke to his father. Best of our big men
Kretiuk - took it easy. above this level. Played on the ball a bit. The only hard player in bees line up.
Picken - a waste of space on our list. No confidence and as Mel said badly caught in possession.
Colbert - nice size for on baller, started ok abut didn't see him in 2nd half
Boyd - same as colbert. Swap this guy for picken
Cross - look better this year. will dominate VFL level if played there all year.

Thanks for that Chops. I think we both have a high opinion of Boyd. Can you play rookie players in the pre-season ?

Matty boyd should have been put on our senior list at the end of last year.Hes a tough little player who goes and gets the ball for himself.

Yes in the Wiz Cup
Too late now. If someone gets injured I would give him a chance.

Did Ben Setchell play?
He was on the sidelines with a number of other senior Bees players. Great litttle player at that level. A yard too slow for AFL but will help the young Bulldogs with his experience.

I have to agree with you guys, i think Boydy would have been better on our senior list rather than someone of the likes of Picken.

Boydy, even though he is little fellow, he reminds me of Libba, he isn't afraid to lay that important tackle or dive on the ball in the dying minutes when the game is there to be won. I like this little bloke~!

Regardless of how these guys went in this match most of them should get a game against Essendon this week. The result is irrelevant, we need to get an idea on who should play in round 1 against Geelong.
I would at least play Power, Bruton, Cross and Colbert in Bendigo.
