Rioli2Rioli picking up his first career BnF votes there, we love to see it!

Round 12 vs Gold City Royals

Another home game as we hosted the Royals and celebrated dogs105's 250th SFA game. The game was dubbed the match of the round and it lived up to the hype. It was a tight and hard fought contest through out.

The Royals were able to secure a 1 point victory which broke the hearts of those who were watching in the stands at the Colosseum.

Best players on the day were Brenton Davy with 19 disposals and three goals off the half forward flank, HARPSichord had 22 touches, a goal and 82 DT points on a wing while AnUltimateRessie put in a 21 disposal and 1 goal effort on the other wing.

Our top posting contributors were damicky, Cubs2Lions and HARPSichord.

Huge game from the ex ex co-skip Brenton Davy sees him poll maximum votes.

Round 13 vs The Roys

This week we travelled to the Brunswick Junction Oval to face the pensioners of the competition. After a sluggish start we got on top in the second quarter and ran out 21 point winners.

Our best players were ClarkeM who amassed 32 disposals, 1 goal and 105 DT points, jezzajay enjoyed a run on the wing and gathered 25 touches of his own, and JT_the_Man took over from Frothies Mcveigh in the goal square and kicked a handy 4 goals.

damicky, dogs105 and HARPSichord all contributed strongly on the posting front.

ClarkeM making moves. Imagine if we had a leaderboard right now?!

Round 14 vs Gumbies FFC
Another game away from The Colosseum saw us head to the House of Gumby to face the Gumbots. The Gumbies flew out of the blocks and took a handy 2 goal lead to quarter time. After that it was all Wonders baby! We piled on 20 goals to 8 after quarter time and ran out 61 point winners in a dominant display.

There were contributors all over the park with SM and HARPSichord gathering 30+ disposals, Cubs2Lions was a dominant presence in the centre of the park and Frothies Mcveigh got on the end of some silver service to put through 7 goals.

It was another strong week on the posting front with damicky, HARPSichord and Brenton Davy leading the charge.

Edging closer to the end of the regular season. She must be toight at the top!

Round 16 vs Mount Buller Demons
We faced the old foe in Heritage Round after we had a refreshing week off and another successful Festival of the Wonders. We had to travel (again!) to the Snow Dome to face our Foundation Club brothers and sisters. After taking a 3 goal lead into quarter time we let them back into the game through the second quarter, going into the main break 1 point down. We came out firing in the second half and ran out 25 point winners.

First year player Rioli2Rioli put his name up in lights with 20 disposals and 86 DT points while damicky and AnUltimateRessie provided a consistent performance on the day. Frothies Mcveigh added another 5 goals as he pushed towards the top in a tight Fred race.

damicky, HARPSichord and Grand Uncle Horace had another excellent week in the match thread.

Huge effort from the young gun, Rioli2Rioli, there. Those 16km runs in the park starting to lay off late in the season.

Round 17 vs Ophidian Old Boys
What a massive week this was as we engaged in the SFA's own version of Gather Round. We bantered with three teams instead of the usual one and had a Festival of Qooty at Flog Oval.

In the main event we played in sloppy conditions and the game was an absolute slog. OOB started strongly and trotted out to a handy lead but we were able to peg them back and draw level halfway through the third quarter. Sadly, we spent all our tickets and OOB got back on top and ended up winning by 15 points. Grand Uncle Horace was our best in his milestone match with 71 DT points and 16 disposals. Cubs2Lions battled manfully next to him, picking up a team high 22 touches. Rioli2Rioli was a livewire up forward and ended up with 2 goals.

There were some huge posting numbers this week with damicky and HARPSichord cracking the double ton (get a life losers!) and our rookie, MayTheNorthBeWithU, bringing up a century.

Round 18 vs Baghdad Bombers

We rounded out the regular season with a home game and top four on the line. Frothies Mcveigh was still a look in for the Fred and the game plan was to try and feed the tall forwards as much as possible. Everything was going to plan as we lead by 4 goals part way through the third and we were cruising to victory. damicky thought this would be the time to send our CHB, MayTheNorthBeWithU, forward to get off the nudie run which he did very quickly. The Bombers began to rally in the last and closed the gap in little time. We needed a hero and boy did MTNBWU deliver. He got off the leash as the Bombers focused on Frothies' attempts at the Fred and kicked 4 clutch goals in the last 15 minutes to throw the lads on his back and book a double chance in finals. We ended up winning by 5 points!

Our best performers on the day were MayTheNorthBeWithU who kicked an influential bag of 5 and could have had more if he didn't miss a couple of sitters. Cubs2Lions once again shone in the midfield with 18 disposals and huge 11 tackles. BallaratBulldog enjoyed a leg stretch on the wing and gathered 21 touches.

Our best three posters were once again HARPSichord, damicky and MayTheNorthBeWithU.
