What happened to VFL Insurance?

It was always lurking in the background when I was a kid (70's-80's) in Hobart (I think it had an office on Davey St) and then disappeared. I had expected to have heard some explanation for its disappearance, but to this day I still don't know what happened to it. So, what happened to VFL Insurance?

Based on this ad their Hobart offices were in Macquarie Street in '86.

Afraid I know nothing more than that (came here curious about VFL Insurance after stumbling across their ad)

ASIC records indicate the company was deregistered in 1995. Id say it was just closed down.

Don't think it survived the move to a national comp.

Might have been a matter of ownership (new clubs not wanting to pay for a share), might have been a distraction from the 'core business' of running a football league at a time when that would have taken a lot of effort, might have just not been making any/much money....Probably some combination of the above.
