The knives are out for the coach but I reckon the following thought's might go some way towards showing the supporters that you're not going to tolerate inept performances from senior players and that you're prepared to try ans salvage something out of this season.

Let's all be honest ---- WE AIN'T GONNA WIN THE FLAG IN 2005 !!!. I'd suggest Bomber considers the following;

1/ Persist with Byrnes and Stokes - they bring much needed pace and they are the future.

2/ Play Nathan at FF ... yes I agree he's not ready but if you give this kid the rest of the year we should have a league footballer round one next year > Kent is not the future / act now or pay the price in a few years.

3/ Varcoe - pick him now. If he's as good as they say then his development will be fast tracked with a dozen games under his belt this year.

4/ Move Ling out of the middle .... he's cheating us all by playing in the middle and racking up 25 cheap posessions that are just chips backwards and sideways. No leg speed.

5/ Drop a couple of big names this week Bomber and win some repsect back from supporters ..... have a close look at Kingsley Hunt and Kelly for starters.

Kelly has played well the past 3 games. He hasn't been getting a lot of the ball, but I notice most of his possessions. With Ling, for the past 3 years I still don't believe the stats when I read 24, 30, etc... Cause they're all rubbish.

You've gotta drop KK and Hunt at the least. Corey has been having a shocking year, but thats probably more not have a fulltime position to work with, they keep throwing him back, which doesn't seem to suit.

Like someone else said, you HAVE to drop KK, otherwise what are the guys in the 2's working for...

Do we start all of that right now though? I think we should leave it untill after we get back from our 2 interstate trips. If we do not win more than we lose from now until after the back-toback intersate trips, then i say go ahead.

I actually quite like Kingsley, I always want him to have a good game (as well as Ottens). However after his recent form he has to be dropped, there's no doubt about it.

Agree with all of the above Prodigal and apart from point 3 (might not be fit enough yet) all should start immediately.

I am a HUGE believer in sending Kent back to the two's and playing Nath at FF. I would rather watch this kid learn his trade in the ones and get beaten than have Nancy boy kingsley continue to tip toe around for the next month. Send him back to the VFL, IF he kicks two or three bags in a row but him back in along side Nath.

I agree with everything you have written, and leaving Ottens in the goalsqaure with open forward line. We def need pace in our side, and if he needs Ling to stay in middle then get him tagging.
