That game broke me at the time but looking back we were one of the top 3 or 4 sides in 2015 and on the cusp of a flag - most of the "footy experts" don't acknowledge this they just look at 2016 and think **** the Tigers came from nowhere to pinch the 2017 flag when in fact it was just a natural progression from 3 years of making finals and bombing out and then some hard more lessons learnt in 2016 and early 2017.

If that free is awarded does 16 happen? If 16 happens does 17,18,19 happen?

No matter what I think 2016 happens, we would’ve lost eventually and a similar “2 more goals” target would’ve been set, which was imo the biggest cause of the failure that year.

To be fair that was when eradication wasn't thought to be an option. It is tantalizingly close. However, it will be so much harder to acheive in reality. IF you stop and say to yourself, all this started with the just one infection, presumably in Wuhan, then it also stands that just one infection somewhere in Australia could put us all back in the same boat again. It is going to take enormous diligence - not sure we have enough people with that kind of diligence. Nuffies everywhere!

More worrying is Professor Ian Frazer is on record saying he has serious doubts whether a vaccine can be produced for Coronavirus becuase the upper respiratory system is much like an outer surface of the body - he likened it to trying to make a vaccine that protects our outer layer of the skin. It's very hard to vaccinate that.

As I said to someone recently Professor Frazer isn't necessarily the only vaccine expert, nor the smartest man or woman in the world - but he comes close. He hasn't said "can't", just how unlikely and difficult he thinks it is.

Yeah well, if you just say open slather then you'll get exponential growth of the disease. That's not rocket science. How that's meant to help the economy etc I don't know. But magical thinking is what the White House does. The more rural red states in the US have the older, sicker people with easily the worst health system. If they start racking it up with bodies being piled into the freezer at the local meat works then we'll see how people react. until then the believers believe, even if it's obvious he's full of fit.
