Who's your man?

What was 'hard' or admirable about his coward hit on Gaff, his late knee on Dangerfield and his coward off-the-ball whack on the Dogs player?

I agree he is old-fashioned. Old fashioned players relied on thuggishness to stop the talented ones.
Don't get in Tommys way.

He is old fashioned and a very good defender. He made the squad of 40 after all.

I have a few. David Mackay. Loyal servant of the Crows who gets shit on a ****load.

Mathieson: loved by Lions fans and deservedly so. Shows bravado and confidence in a club desperately lacking it. Shot down because Australian public hate attitude and cockiness.

Jasper PittGod: GOAT.

Sam Gray: Port Adelaide born and raised and been associated with the club somehow for years and years. Does whatever is asked of him and doesn't sook about it. Fans still sook about him.

You are missing the point.

I dont think anyone of us Port fans is saying his hits are acceptable. Is it any worse than "what a great bloke Ch 7 legend go to war" Hodge wrapping Wingard's head around a goalpost?
I like Jonas too. It's about the whole package. I cringed over the hit on Gaff as we all did, but the look on Jonas' face like "Oh f**k I did it again. Why do I do that!" was priceless.

Dream Team perspective: Aaron Hall. His propensity for big scores has won me many games the last couple of seasons

Jarrad Waite is my man. Ill discipline, dodgy body and brain explosions all somehow enhance his charm. If he's still running around every 12th week at 50 years of age using his uber-sticky hands and ****-sure attitude I'll still love him. I even loved him at Carlton.

I have a list of players from various clubs that I would love at North. Many of them are not considered to be the archetypal trade target. This list shall, from here on, be referred to exclusively as "my men".

Clayton Oliver.

And I'm not even joking about that. Freaky looking kid with horrible Twitter habits, probs not very bright, certainly not very mature, will need to be hidden from media for the sake of the club and the greater human race, yet still plays like a bull-strength, handball happy angel of the ages.

I've just got to love him.

I've defended Matty Kreuzer for years. I've been praying for his acne to clear up, for him to be more vocal and for him to regain fitness and have a year like he just did. Last year was a battle as many suggested Phillips should be our first ruck. No more.

Coincidentally our board sponsorship of Special K was sold from under us and he had his best season without the BigFooty monkey on his back. My man Matty.

sgotta be Jack Watts. How does the sweetest guy in football get treated like the most arrogant? People have a hatred towards him like he comes out every week and shhh's the oppo team supporters. Its crazy to me. Somehow always has a smile on his face too.

Billy hartung is my man, ****s up something every single week, but just does one thing every couple of weeks that gives me hope that one day he will be a solid footballer

Adam Kennedy.

Did so much work as a mentor to players his own age when the club first began and showed maturity beyond his years. Always the first to sign on in contract year and has really driven the club's culture from a peer-respect point of view. Was absolutely shattered to see him go down this year. Deserves success more than anybody at the Giants.

Tom Ruggles takes no shit. Tough little bloke who gives it right back. Reminds me of a mixture of Josh Hunt & Max Rooke. Sadly I don't believe he'll ever be better than a 23-30 player but **** I love the bloke.
