Opinion Why Blame Harry?

I'm very surprised that some people seem to be holding Harry culpable for busting Nate's knee.

Does Harry have eyes in the back of his head? No.

Does Harry have superhuman powers of perception to foresee the injury risk involved in that split second passage of play? No.

What would have happened if Harry had foreseen the risk and avoided it? He'd get a grilling worthy of the Spanish Inquisition "Why did you squib the contest Harry?". And imagine if he'd tried to answer: "Oh look, I knew Nate was behind me and I wanted to avoid any risk of injuring his knee.". Do you think anyone would concede the point: "Oh fair enough then Harry, onya mate - we gotta take care of Nate's knees" ? No.

Would we have heard tittly poop, blame Harry, out of anyone if the injury had instead happened to the other Brown in the contest? No.

Sometimes stuff happens. To treat Harry as culpable is absurd.

Haha, blaming Harry is ridiculous... Exactly as you have called it above. Get serious, guys - Harry went over and above by going back with the flight against one of the toughest arialists in the game...

Well done Harry, bad luck Nate. That is what happens when you play a contact sport.

Happened right in front of us. Given the situation I would have expected him to try and spoil given the postion on the ground near the boundry near teh boundry just get it over. Unlucky football incident get well soon Nate. Glad to hear is only 2 - 4 weeks he will be back soon

If anyone is to blame it's Jonathon Brown who clearly shoves Nathan into the oncoming O'Brien, even then I be loath to say it was either negligent or intentional.
Just one of those things.

I Harry pulled up he would be dropped.

This. Obviously this thread has come about due to the discussion currently taking place in the other thread. If you feel that you have an opinion worthy of putting forward about the topic post it there. A new thread to express an opinion isn't needed.

Yeah as I said in the other thread, I might have reacted too angrily over Nate being gone.

I've watched the incident a few more times and it seems it was actually more Jonathan Brown than Harry. Harry still MAY have cleaned him up though even if Jonathan Brown didn't push Nate into him.

Harry was doing what he has been often criticized for not doing enough of, getting under the high ball when it was his turn. Simply bad luck for Nate being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sorry for raising a new thread about it if one already exists - I didn't see it (the issue got referred to as an aside in one of the review threads).

Big deal if the issue was raised again.
this thread stood out so i will reply to it.
Harry was responsible - he jumped up when he shouldve allowed the split second to see the contest ahead of him. sh!t happens he is lucky its only about a month. to me it was a sloopy attempt to spoil. harry can get sloopy so hopefully he thinks twice.
once again its IMO..

No need to apologize lol. There isn't a thread about it already it's more the way you presented the OP considering there was already discussion about it. Instead of just putting forward your opinion I think it would have been better to provide footage of the incident put forward your opinion and then ask for other people's. But it's all good lol.

the only reason I was annoyed at Harry was because it was a rather poor (and unssuccessful) attempt at a spoil and J.Brown marked as a result.

The injury was unfortunate by product of the spoil gone wrong.

If Nate stepped aside, just at the right time, J.Brown may well have had another cranio-facial injury.

Harry has being under a cloud, very lucky not to have been playing in the 2nd's since Bulldogs game. Hopefully this can only inspire Harry to be the player of the past.

Good to see Brown's injury isn't season ending, woohoo.
END OFF!
