Society/Culture Why I blame Islam for the fact it's raining today.... part 2

Reminder: This isn't the Israel/Hamas thread. Go to the Israel/Hamas thread if you want to talk about that. Thanks.

Thread rules update:
From this point if you're going to make a connection between Islam and the crime rate, you need to demonstrate causation in your post. If you do not, I'm going to infract you for the inherent racism in the position you're taking.

Terrorist calls for the "normalisation of massacres of Jews" in London and police do nothing. Eventually they recieved so much backlash they are forced to issue a statement on twitter with a vague promise of investigating

The tide is turning lefties, 5 years ago it would have been considered too racist to investigate a Muslim for demanding a full scale October 7 style massacre of Jews

I assume you mean this speaker?

He's said that it was simply a missed word and given the context of what he was saying at the time it makes a lot more sense.

"I dare you to look into the eyes of a Gazan child and tell him you tried your best," he told the crowd. "Our day will come. But we must not be complacent. Our day will come. But we must normalize massacres as a status quo."

He's very clearly talking about the massacre occurring in Gaza, only Fox News and co would manage to so deeply miss the context he was speaking in.

They didn’t miss it. They wilfully ignored it.

He had you pegged before you even replied.

The "missed word" excuse is a bit rich given the trash thrown at Israel for misspeaking.

The "missed word" changes the context from denouncing death, to denouncing the death of people he supports, and supporting death of those he doesn't support - a common theme from pro-Palestinians since October 7

The 'missed word' makes a lot more sense in the context of what he was saying than the version without the missed words.

He's speaking about the civilian toll on children in Gaza from the ongoing slaughter there, then suddenly he calls for more massacres?

Yeah, makes no sense.

Engage brain.

He did misspeak, I don't believe he called for the normalization of massacres. But I wanted to check just how hard he denounced massacres on Oct 7th...

He really denounces those massacres super hard this guy :embarrassedv1::thumbsupemoji:

We're going to pretty busy if we carry on every time someone denounces Israeli actions and suggests that retaliatory terrorist attacks are inevitable. I do think he goes further than that, but this blokes comments aren't international newsworthy. There are actual world leaders saying similar things.

The thing is; he missed one word and results in him saying something that makes no sense in the context of what else he was saying, with no ability to enact any such thing anyway.

Meanwhile Israeli government officials are actually saying the things he's been accused of saying, whilst being in a position to actually do those things, and those things are actually happening, and nary a word is said.

Did he say that they are inevitable, or did he suggest that they are justified and infer that they are worth celebrating?

Why do you feel that you need to defend him?

Most of us believe in self defence and it's very easy for both sides to paint themselves as victims acting in self defence and if you take individual points in time and ignore the history they're right, which is what keeps happening over and over again.

Whilst the hawks have the power the cycle will keep continuing and the hawks will retain the power whilst we only focus on an individual sides sins. Meanwhile the doves on either side will get massacred in the tit retribution.

There is right and wrong.
There is also cause and effect.
The raid / murders / kidnappings instigated by Hamas was the cause of the current situation.
( I agree that the Israeli's should withdraw ).
The raid / murders /kidnappings instigated by Hamas, was unlikely to cause new freedoms to the citizens of Gaza.

Why does anyone consider that such an act should trigger new freedoms for Gaza and the Palestinian in israel ?

Did you wash the car son? No i'm sick of you telling me what to do , so i burnt it down, I expect you to buy me a playstation for my birthday. Yeahhhh.
