Our best football and current list will allow us too.

It’s all a mental question now.

Collingwood and GWS are real 50/50s on current form

Sydney and Adelaide we should expect wins.

Brisbane is tough but by no means unbeatable at our best.

The opportunity is there, will we take it?

Every game is loseable - that is the sad mental state I'm in after following this CLub for 20 years or so. If I was drawing a Venn diagram I would have learning how to win at the intersection of two ellipses one big one which is building a game plan with players able to execute and be competitive for 4 quarters and the other big one - learning how not to lose.

learning how not to lose is games like - Geelong/Norfs/Hawforn/Melbum/Port/Fremantle - we've been outmatched in two game sand that is St Kilda/WC
learning how to win is about team continuity and playing best 22 every week and also Teague's idea of everyone is a role player.
learning how to win is an outcome - not an input.

The Suns game felt different to me - pretty much in control from the get go - but the development side of things was there on display - the inability to capitalise on dominance - which kept them in the game for 3/4.

Collingwood is a serious game - they need to win it almost as much as we do - win it and that is three in a row and a serious statement to other CLubs still in the hunt.

I do prefer that we are in the position of ‘nothing to lose’ as we chase a finals berth as opposed to having to hold onto a spot by being in a position roughly where Saints currently are (they’ll be v nervous if they lose to Dees this week, and are still a reasonable chance to miss out even if they win this week). Think it is the type of scenario where belief can be formed - there is no time to question whether it can be done, they just have to go out and do it. Works in our favour, imo.

I’m also not sold on Lions. Don’t consider them a genuine top 4, although they’ll almost certainly finish top 4. Be handy if they were to rest a couple of players, come the final round, but I suspect the designated Pre-finals bye will still be in place, so it’s unlikely. They may choose to rest against Swans in Rd17 if that designated bye is fixtured.

Lions aren't anywhere near their best. And we don't even know if we're playing them at the Gabba or not.

We'll play finals if we win enough games, irrespective of that it's been a good year. We're finally out of that bottom tier of clubs.

If I told you twice, I told you thrice. West Coast will buckle in the hub and their spot in the 8 is absolutely up for grabs.

2 1/2 games clear of 9th, think they are safe
Will only 2 games clear of us after this week with 4 rounds to go. Probably make it with North being their last game but they are gonna deteriorate in that hub over the next 4 games mark my words. Bombers, Dogs, Saints next 3 games and Dons look a million times better with Daniher in the side. Lose next week and they will be very nervous. Absolute flat track bullies.

Possibly but at the same time they could beat all those sides

Losing to the Tigers is no disgrace

WC started the season sluggish and while not as strong playing away from WA, I wouldn't read too much into playing away from their home ground

I politefully disagree 😛

IF we win this week (if) we are 2 games away from them with 4 rounds to go. We will make up some percentage with that wib. The rest of the percentage will then take care of itself should we win 2 more games than them on the run home.

- WCE need to win 1 of their next 4 games if we go 3-1 (after Pies game)
- WCE need to win 2 of their next 4 games if we go 4-0 (after Pies game)

If they lose to Essendon next week then it is on. I guarantee they will deteriorate the further into this hub they go. Guarantee.

I think if we make it, it will be at the expense of the pies

Let's see how it unfolds

Tonight ya'll need to be barracking for the Cats. We need them to flog the Dogs. A decent enough win to the Cats will see us leapfrog the Dogs if we beat the Pies on Sunday.

We need the Saints to do a number on the Dees, and Freo to knock over the Giants.

If Melbourne and the Dogs both lose, and we beat the Pies, we'll be in the 8 at the end of this round, and as high as 7th depending on how much we (and the Cats) win by.

Do Collingwood lose points if we beat them do they ? 😂
