Glad you stuck to your guns, Cold. Goes against the grain of most of Bigfooty whos opinion changes as often as the wind.

Classic stuff.

14 other teams would have loved to have been playing tonight.

Guess what? They f***ing weren't.

Heard all week about the massive 7 debutantes the Hawks blooded this year.

As opposed to the 7 we blooded, along with Cowan and Menzel who may as well have been debutantes. Without a game from Thurlow who looks a gun.

We might not win a flag soon, who knows. But we aren't falling much further away from one.

In the words of Bruce...

DELICIOUS

Both the Hawks and Cats now have to break a few veteran hearts, time to be brutal or they'll only tread water then later decline from here on.

They're not in the same boat. The Hawks are fresh off a 3-peat with a slight window of opportunity for another before their veterans start hanging them up. Geelong haven't won a flag, nor have they even looked like winning one for the past 5 years.

In the words of me:

"Delicious is the.lamest f***ing phrase I've ever heard associated with competitive sport, and we made it a week further than the sewerage wearing sanitary squad that got knocked out last week."
Haha loving the meltdown mate.

So tell me that extra week you played, how many more premierships did you win because of it then us this year?

Tell me, because of the loss we had tonight, how many more did your team win?

Of course I'm melting down.
My team just got f***ing destroyed in a preliminary final. Even if they weren't playing though, I'd still meltdown over seeing f***wit #678320 use the term 'delicious' in the same way that people in 1995 thought they were being funny by saying 'aye carumba'.

They are going to tell everyone what to do?

Basically yes. Toby Greene and Devon Smith will say things like 'EMD'! And people will just have to grin and bear it.

In any case - despite your smart alec reply you arent even correct. To 'lord over' does not strictly refer to verbal commands only but also behaviour.

to behave as if you are more important than someone and have a right to tell that person what to do.

So if you are going to be a patronising grammar hero at least make sure you know what you are upping yourself about.

This meltdown is delicious.

Aye Carumba this is delicious

I think it should be seen as the start of the new era next year rather than the beginning of the end.

The beginning of the end was after the 2011 grand final. That was it for the 2007 Bomber Thompson super team. Whilst regenerating some parts of the team with youth it's really been a slow decline of those players since 2011.

From the 2011 grand final winning team:
Enright (?Gone)
Lonergan, Mackie, Bartel (going and/or phased out of the best 22)

Staying: Taylor, Selwood, Hawkins, Duncan

Over the last 24 months the Cats have largely got rid of the old and added a new forward line, a new midfield (including rucks) and now after this year it's like a decent chunk (Enright alone is a huge part) of their backline will go.

Sydney are cooked and are traveling to play us coming off a 6 day break while we're coming off a week's rest.

Our grand final opponent will either be a cooked Dogs side coming off 3 interstate trips in 5 weeks including 2 trips to Perth, or a Giants side that have never played in front of 100,000 at the MCG and have a 1-10 record at the MCG over their history which is very poor.

I wonder what all those people who shitcanned this thread are thinking right now?
Ha Ha Ha is what we are thinking. Those cooked Swans certainly made a meal of the Catters. Overconfidence is often the Cats failing, that's why they have never managed a dynasty. Heads get too big.

Will get back for Round 1

Menzel
Thurlow
Cockatoo
Lang

Will trade

Motlop
Kerston
Vardy
Horlin Smith

All will net something of value. I wouldn't write them off just yet.

Hahahaha.

They will have a harder draw in 2017 and your scenario above does not get rid of the softness in the team.

They will be 10th again in 2017.

Traded their 2016 first rounder for Henderson.

Thanks Catters :)

GWS should be thanking us, since you traded that pick to them for some list cloggers.

It wasn't the easy fixture that got us 2nd. The easier the fixture got the worse we played.
We had the best record vs other top 8 sides.
Make sure you know what you're talking about next time.
