Get a deal for both Everitt and Hay.

I've got a feeling the PSD may be interesting.

The Hawks may end trade week with 5 first round picks, with an early 2nd rounder aswell. Even in a "weak" draft, that's sensational.

Give both players are contracted for 2006, they won't be appearing in the PSD.

If the Hawks can get picks 3, 6, 14 (hay), 19 (spida), 29 (hay) and Ryan O'Keefe.

Plus their other early picks, Hawthorn are on the way.

Hay is definantly gone. Do the Spida deal i say. 2 years pain, 10 years successful gain.

To all you "He's contracted people" so was Zantuck! A contract can be terminated on mutual grounds. If he wants to go the Hawks will let hm go
and get a top trade or draft pick. Clarkson wants to start a dynasty not a one year wonder side...will the Hawks allow him the time?

I think everyone is underestimating the impact of injuries to young players. The younger bodies won't be able to standup to the rigors of AFL football and will be lesser players in the long run because they are being exposed too early.

Loading up with picks over a 2-3 year period is fine as long as there's enough men to field a team. Imagine seeing an under 20's team join the AFL. No matter how talented those youngsters were they'd be damaged goods after a couple years.

Hawthorn won't terminate his contract. If he does want to leave ******** him, he can play for Box Hill reserves for a year.

make that 14 a 9 cos i hear that is why the roos are so keen to deal with the lions for motlop so they can then move that pick onto the hawks for hay.
