He'll be back into the side again sometime this season and no doubt will do just enough to justify his spot on our list for next season but I think next season will be his last chance to put some consistent footy together. No one expects him to set the world on fire but if he can't do the basic things asked of him (chasing, tackling, providing a target) then there are plenty of others on our list that can take his spot.

Roos was saying today that he is close to being recalled to the seniors. They have played him on the half back flank in the past few reserves matches. Obviously teaching him some accountability.

His disposal into the forward line has been beautiful to watch. May be back this week against the Tiggers.

Mega talent, I always thought he more talent than Didak, Neon & he plummets Steve Johnson, in the top 3 kicks for goal in the AFL & highly damging forward, he is largely an unfulfilled talent. Have no issues against his move, but his "loose" mental approach has ended his AFL career.

Yeah, he will be. Roos made comments in the media recently that he's about 2-3 games away from deserving a spot in the 22, and I don't see why he won't get another try at least.

If he doesn't end up making it (please no ) he'll become a depth player, most probably. Other than that, his defensive game's been progressing along pretty well playing at CHB and learning the ropes there.

Don't know if we will see him next week though back I reckon we will be back before seasons end. Was obviously down on confidence when he did come back earlier missing several easy chances. My guess is that he will replace Playfair who seems to work hard but isn't a great shot of goal and needs to harden up.

Nick Davis is a fringe player at Sydney. Not that being a fringe player means he's going to be delisted/traded. It just means he will be in and out of the side over the year, like so many other players, and his next contract will reflect this.

I cant see Davis leaving Sydney. Its the swans or nothing.

Anyway, he's been near BOG in the 2's the last couple of weeks, so could be a chance for a senior game this week.

I've seen him play a couple of games in the 2's this year - not a team player and does nothing to help out the young players being developed by the club. A great player on his day ...but they are few and far between.

He played one excellent quarter that got the swans over the line against the cats and into the grannie. Then he was talked up as being AA and elite and bla bla bla... He played ONE EXCELLENT QUARTER and kicked a freak goal where he could have just as easily kicked himself in the face.

Lest we forget he was dropped for being fat, lazy, not team oriented etc etc. Overrated

We are at the precipice of another wasted footy career with Nick. He should be doing what Steve Johnson did last year or, given his midfield capabilities, what Didak did the previous year (and is doing this year). He just doesn’t learn and he doesn’t try hard enough. If Roos is true to his work about team culture he’ll try and trade Davis at he end of the year and if that doesn’t work he’ll delist him. In either case I’d be happy for Collingwood to throw him a lifeline IF he genuinely wants to resurrect his career and IF he commits to a performance based contract and a big training program.

According to this article he is contracted to 2011.I would have thought a year by year contract would have focused his mind.Anyway it looks like he is not going anywhere which will please some Sydney supporters and annoy others.I am in the latter category.When he is on he is brilliant but unfortunately it only happens once in a blue moon.
Will change my mind if he knuckles down but he has had a stack of chances.
