it was his second game back in his second year of real footy against a Coleman medal winner, after year long knee. FFS

I find it funny how a lot of people speak about Lucas's game and his 25 disposals and 16 marks but how many of them were gathered early when Polak would let him wander up to the HBF to get them. He could have 50 possies and 35 marks up that end of the ground but as a forward he would have had about 10 possies and 7 marks. The fact that if he is goal side of the centre means he will only pass as a last resort, means he will put a score on the board.

As for Thursty 2nd game back in the seniors against a player of Lloyds quality and to restrict him to nothing after the first quarter shows we made the right call regarding Gaspar. Looyd would have kicked double figures on Gas and we all know it too.

Silly to rate a bloke on one incident .

Has Thirsty even reaches double figures yet ???

Considering how little footy he has played .... how inexperienced he is ... coming back from a knee Reco ... lets just say he is one exciting prospect ..

Think of the job he did on Riewoldt the night he did his knee ... and then second game back Wallace puts him straight on Lloyd and he does more than hold his own.

If he stays injury free , he is going to be awesome

absolutely, it was stupid as. But the kid being the commando he is didnt let it perturb him. I thought as you did, oh no, Lloyd is in for a party, but you know what? he ****ed him up the ass after that. Thats why Lloydy was so ecstastic when he kicked that goal after the siren. It camouflaged the real deal.

if thursfield wants to play fullback he needs 10kgs+ and a few more cm's, wont happen!

why waste he's running ability on power forwards who will murder him, gaspar pissing off is great cause its a bit more settled coming out and deledio isnt needing to go back and clean up gaspars mess but thursfield is not the answer on the last line imo

polak is showing how much a big body is still needed in afl footy because he is going alright, 1 more pre season and he could play a bit tighter on opponenets but he's pace still worries me

we still need a fullback who is big and quick but hey why dont we just draft a few more runners!

we need a FB who stops the FF and is smart and is strong. We have a FB now who stops the FF, is super smart, and that in his second real year of footy, so can only get stronger. We in fact have our FB, CHB the C and now its all about gettng the CHF and FF happening for us. Its coming together.

I think Thursty had a really good game and is a real prospect. He will ony get bigger & stronger in time and his natural athletic ability (+ smarts) will more than compensate for any lack in a couple of cm.
He is only 20YO & played 9 games FFS! LMAO earlier this year when all our talls were going down with injuries and Thursty was being listed as a key missing player. He had only played 7 at that stage and was coming back from a knee reco. Let's give hime some time!
(Plus, I reckon guys with long sleeves pushed up looks kinda cool! )
