Prediction Will we win a final this season ?

Three quarters of the same list that couldn't seal the deal, with a crop of blokes including Edwards, Batchelor, Maric and Houli who have shown signs of considerable decline, others who have regressed but could go either way like Conca and Morris, and a few who haven't kicked on like Griffiths with doubts he ever will. I'm optimistic, all things going well, we could sneak eighth, but we have a lot of good luck when it comes to injury during the Hardwick years, well until last year, and we went backwards at a rate of knots.

Yep agree, Im not expecting premierships, but I think if, and its a big IF, we correct the faults of last year, have some signs of natural development across the list we can make the eight.

A lot of our players had down years in 2016 too. BEllis, Edwards and Miles under performed while others like McIntosh, Houli and Morris were injured. We also planned to have Yarran running off the halfback line and Lids off the HF.

Even if we did not bring in Caddy, Prestia and Nankervis, the natural progression of the side would still push us up the ladder.

Sadly, our forward line looks to be light on for genuine talent and our backline is a similar story. Key position stocks are very low

The inclusion of Caddy, Prestia and Vlaustin to the midfield does not improve and add depth to the midfield, the trickle on effect strengthens up our backline and forwardline too. Caddy, Cotchin, Dusty, Vlaustin and even Lloyd and Rioli will now be duel role players and will strengthen our forwardline as well as our midfield. McIntosh and BEliis will do the same for our backline.

Speed, versatility and a re-invigoration of leadership and coaches will make the difference. We will be the surprise packet of 2017.

It's not doom and gloom, but there are a lot of teams lining up to be competitive this season. In a weaker competition we'd go well, but this year will be hard.

We'll win a few and might even scare a couple. Only speaking for myself, I'm putting a check on my enthusiasm for how well I reckon the Tiges will perform because we're still waiting for the good times. Last year was disgraceful and I went in pumped for that. I go in pumped every year so more fool me.

Port and Richmond have fallen into the same category of "what happened to all the promise?"

The team has to prove itself on field. That is all there is to it. Start winning and the supporters will believe, for decades we've had to draw on believing without evidence.

I'm really looking forward to the footy starting, but with Richmond restraint is needed.

More like lloyd and lennon. Grif has proven over time he will either be injured or hiding with his helmet in a shadow.

I think lloyd will kick 25 and lennon similar. Looking forward to seeing them alongside jack

Who knows, but if I had to place a bet I'd guess no. We have no reason atm to assume our team can withstand the psychological pressure. We have flubbed all three finals

I can see it happening though. Griff usually misses 6-12 games but kicks 10-20 goals. 22 games should get him 30 goals especially with Vickery gone

I dont think we will make the finals, there is too many teams in front of us, Port, st kil & melbourne all have better lists.
Unfortunately we will pay for Francis Jacksons poor recruiting. Conca 6 infront of Heppel 7. Lennon 12 infront of Crips 13.
You cant afford to stuff up too many first rounders..
