Lasted about 5 minutes into Camp WWE....

Edge and Christian Show was alright, not amazing but it's found it's groove a couple of episodes in. Hopefully they do another batch of them.

the Breaking Ground ep was really good. :thumbsu:

Yep and again we see these specials do more to illicit a genuine connection to these wrestlers than hours and hours of bland scripted monday night programming. This sort of thing, the espn special, the seth rollins doco etc. is the manner this company should be presenting these characters on the main show. WWE is sitting on a goldmine with their talent, their production, their brand recognition, but the stubbornness to stick to a tired storytelling philosophy is leaving so much money on the table. Apollo Crews is a guy nobody gives a s**t about on the main roster and rightly so, but the part here with Triple H telling him about his call up was fantastic. You suddenly saw a genuine person you can get behind. Literally 1 minute is all it took, 1 minute and I wanted to see what happens with this guy.

Couldn't agree more. It's absolutely criminal that the WWE doesn't use this sort of feature/footage on Raw and Smackdown, especially for faces.

Seeing Apollo bawling his eyes out when he got the call up makes me want to see him do great things in the WWE.

It's just as simply for established stars too. All the Ryder stuff on Breaking Ground was brilliant. Him shouting during his entrance was 100% genuine emotion. We've also seen it recently with the Rollins special.

I was so so excited for that show. Had been watching weekly for a couple of years and things had gotten really stale through 1999. This is was the chance to turn it around. I remember things starting pretty well and it staying pretty hot until around the Mayhem ppv which was pretty good. Then I realised Russo had no idea and basically my hopes were crushed at the peak of teenage wrestling fandom. Never forgave him for that.
