2012 Membership Tally - Part2

Norffff on 22,552 - probably still in front of the 2008 (I've supported North since they said not to the AFL, but at least 80% of the membership I bought in 2008 was Port supporters) figure for this time of year.

Do you write cryptic crosswords for a living?

How much of this is attributible to Tasmania? I imagine you guys would have to be rapt with the growth so far.

We have around 2000 tassie members atleast (including myself)
Tasmania has been great for expanding the clubs market. While there has also been growth in Victoria as well.
Make the finals and put in a decent performance this year. It could see our membership looking very respectable in 2013.

We are right on track to breaking our 34k members from back in 2008.

That's really positive. Great work from the Roos :thumbsu:

Is this right? Do you have a source?

I can't currently find my article (admittedly it was from 2010 i think), but given we had around 15k back then, one would assume we would have 15-20k now, which would put us out of reach of most clubs. We were pretty far ahead as well. I don't think any other club had more than 10k in 2010.

I guess i will have to retract my statement for now, as i don't have the figures atm, and some of our juniors may now be on other membership types.

Fair enough. Just found it to be an interesting stat.

I remember this from a few years ago and the hawks were miles in front. The buddy effect!

Note how North have more juniour members than we "should" as compared to adult memberships. This is the Carey generation coming through. Good for us long term.
