So according to this we have bowed out. Why would we do that so early? Don't know much about Membrey, but I like what I'm reading ... a prolific goal kicker who can play through the middle. We could be kicking ourselves in a year or two for not pursuing him, so if he is as good as people say, maybe we should try to find a way to do the deal.

188cm 3rd tall think we are more interested in our 3rd tall being Jones with Lachie and Casboult as the CHF & FF.

Don't believe everything you read I reckon

I believe we are confident on Jones and won't bother with Membrey. People have to remember there's only 6 forward spots up for grabs, 1 or 2 of those goes to a player who also runs through the midfield. We've already got Menz, Lachie & Levi locked into that forward line with Jones almost a done deal.

Most likely because we don't have the currency to bring him in after acquiring our other trade targets (Jaksch, Jones). Probably like him but realise we just won't be able to get it done since the Jaksch trade will go right down to the wire and we won't know what picks we have left to get him.

The Saints are hoping Kristian Jaksch chooses to play for them next year over Carlton, with the uncontracted Giants youngster considered more likely to push for a move to the Blues.
Jaksch could become central to a proposed deal that would involve Carlton sliding from pick six to pick 18 and gaining the athletic tall, with midfielder Jono O'Rourke moving to Hawthorn and GWS receiving pick six for the pair.

The Blues are open to helping Kane Lucas find a new club, with the midfielder out of contract after playing 42 games in five seasons, including just seven this year.
The club is expected to bring in two Western Bulldogs, Liam Jones and Jason Tutt, with Jarrad Waite expected to accept a two-year offer from North Melbourne when the free agency period starts on Friday.

So EQ thinks Jaksch hasn't nominated us yet.
Does suggest that 3 way trade with Hawthorn though again.

Part of a deal with the Dogs to get Jones and possibly Tutt for a reasonable price?

You say it like we just bowed cause we cbf...im sure the team has looked at him as an option and decided hes not for us. Again, we have jones, watson, menzel, walker and possibly jaksch in his position.

If that's true, then so be it. As I said, I don't much about him except he has kicked quite a few at the lower level and is said to be similar to Darling. Unless he is deemed to be not good enough, I thought it may be better not to bow out of anything at the moment as this some deals may fall over.

veeeery sick of the homesickness drama

probably have people who arent for this, but if somebody only wants to come to carlton to get back to victorian football, i wouldnt want them in my team
need that heart and sacrifice and drive and desire to want to put that guernsey on and be proud

i also second the motion we go for membrey, will be an absolute class act when he gets on the field
just becuase tutt may want to come, why does that mean we shoud reshuffle our other trades to accomidate :| same as jones, not too big of a fan and have seen him play enough to see he is not our answer

and queue the hate...
